Hi, I am having Asus H110m-K motherboard. I am looking to upgrade my SSD. I am a casual gamer with mostly play dota 2 and some graphics game like horizon or wasteland 3. But i have few options
1. SATA SSD or Nvme? 2. If my motherboard not allow for nvme, what can i do so it can support nvme in mean time? before i upgrade to better motherboard. 3. And last which brand or which nand ssd i should buy?
my budget around Rm 300. and i looking 512gb ssd
tq

QUOTE(EBBattlefield @ Sep 20 2020, 07:18 AM) 1. your mobo only SATA 2. PCIE x16 to m.2 adapter3. look for lowest price first that fits your budget, then google reviews on anandtech, then decision from there make sure the SSD has a common brand name...dont buy vague brands that you have never heard of https://www.anandtech.com/show/13759/compar...pro-vs-hp-ex950https://www.anandtech.com/show/12263/the-cr...00-500gb-review4. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/crucial-...bHJzfK&search=1mx500 OKay thankiu sifu. But my pcie x 16 slot already plug in graphics card. Thanks for the recommendation.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Sep 20 2020, 10:03 AM) 1. SATA 2. Just stay with SATA. PCIE card for NVME SSD may not work for everybody. 3. Crucial MX500 or Patriot Burst Avoid DRAM-less SSD. Paying more is worth it. Okay noted. So SATA technology still future proof ya. Because i was thinking buying nvme SSD since its more new in term of technology. Now headache between better brand SSD or nvme ssd borh look same price to me.
