Hi there,
I have 3 camera lenses. 1 Nikon 18-105mm lens with the D90 body and 2 fujinon lens to bosch video camera system. The items are about 10 years old now. Now the items are starting to get fungus on the inside. Does anyone know how to clean this? Must I bring it to a shop? If anyone knows a shop in KL or wherever, does the shop accept LO since this is government property.
Thanks.

Bring to nikon shop perhaps? At least they can give advice or cleaning location if anything. I won't suggest u clean urself cause from what I saw, it's quite complicated. Additionally, there's the issue of optical alignment and whether cleaning with liquid soap will degrade the lens coating. If cleaning is too much hassle and expensive, would suggest u buy new or second hand.

Just send to shop for cleaning, the costs should be around rm200.
I had a lens that got infected by fungus and I just keep it in my drybox, it hasn't got any worse since then.

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Aug 22 2017, 06:35 AM) Can suggest shop? Too dry will lead to fungus as well? I sent my old lens to YL Camera before. Another shop that I know is Cheah Camera Repair located at Mutiara Complex.
