I really don't see the point of buying an appleTV.
First of all we don't have access to iTMS, unless of course you would have to go to America, reload your credit.. etc etc. Plus I don't think most of us actually buys alot of content from the iTMS store. Even though I'm pretty sure there would be a market for it, it is just that there are so many barriers for us to get past to actually make it viable.

Another alternative to the AppleTV would be to just build your own media center.
I'm planning to build one using spare parts around the house (like MacDaNife) and just running MythTV on Linux. Does everything an AppleTV can, plus something like the current AstroMAX (records, rewind, playback) as well.

Don't be a dumbass, read the etc and etc at the end. I was also making a reference to
a post by MacDaNife, who was going to America in May or something. Plus Ebay, and friends overseas, would also constitute as another hurdle to jump over just to be able to purchase
from the iTMS store. Not everyone can make purchases from iTMS and charge it straight to his/
her credit card.
