I heard because Malaysia doesn't separate our first and last names, when submitting visa applications that ask for name as appearing on passports it should be First : None , Last : FULL NAME HERE Because for countries that separate names, it would appear like this DOE<<JANE (two) whereas ours is FULL<NAME<HERE all one spaces

QUOTE(bereev @ Aug 17 2017, 08:31 AM) what is so difficult surname and first name also dunno ? if Malay name after bin/binti is surname Cainis First phrase name is surname and others after AL/AP is surname Read properly la It's not that I don't know, it's because Malaysia doesn't separate the names so sometimes the names might not be what they expect Say your name is Lim Ah Beng Then because Malaysia doesn't separate names, your passport says your first name is FNU (First name unknown) and your last name is Lim Ah Beng So if you fill in first : Ah Beng, last : Lim you might run into problems because the authorities expect your name to match exactly as your passport This post has been edited by jfleong: Aug 17 2017, 08:48 AM
