KTM - mostly reach to outskirt area, normally people of lower income like Bangla will use it, not recommended

LRT - highest concentration of young awek and amoi cun since the area LRT covers still considered near to KL and they are favourite renting place for young fresh grads.

MRT - new transportation with quite low usage till now. Not suitable for gesel gesel even though awek and amoi concentration still decent as the MRT is spacey. Good for sightseeing though.

Monorail - highest chance to gesel gesel with awek and amoi but at the same time also high concentration of pakcik and makcik. Totally luck based and not recommended.

Each one can be defined as anything but the purpose is still the same, to transport people from one place to another.

Train - KTM intercity, ETS and kommuter.

LRT - Light Rapid Transit, shorter and lower capacity MRT alike.

Monorail - normally used for short distance and in city area.

MRT - Mass Rapid Transit - similar with LRT but longer and larger capacity.

BRT - Bus rapid transit, replace the train with bus, for lower capacity places. as cheaper to operate.

ERL - Express Rail Link, is airport rail link.

Malaysians term for LRT and MRT are a bit blurred as now they are a mish mash of each other.

LRT (Light Rail Transit) – any form of rail transport lighter than heavy train coaches like inter-state / inter-city trains. Limited seats. Somehow in Malaysia our LRT fuctions have been overlapping with MRT. Some say that last time we shouldn’t wasted money to build LRT.. shud build MRT directly.. but that time cronies were different.

MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) – integrated light rail transits that are designed to reduce usage of personal vehicles, i.e location wise are connecting major housing areas to city centre spots, and business districts. Limited seats. Design with interconnections to other public transport. Has dedicated bus service attached.

Monorail – in city centre, short tracks, short coaches, maximized standing, no seats, Supposedly designed to connect major tourist, business districts, and shopping malls.

Komuter – Inter-city commute trains. Heavier coaches, longer intervals, have multiple comfy seats for all passangers. Can makan2 and drink.

ETS – successor to our old inter-state diesel powered slow moving train coaches. ETS are electric based and modern. Long haul. Have cafeterias.

KTM -commuter -> wait until sleep , kejar when you can interval lost , maybe improved after have KVDT upgrade works

LRT- Kelana, ampang line - both quick as can get 1.5min in peak hour

MRT - 4min on peak time, ok la,

monorail- lead time also sleepy 15mins / interval on a old coach

You want win time or what ? hmm.gif
