I've ordered the dv6227tx anyway for a price of 3199...
Is it possible to speed up the delivery date? 2 weeks is a long time. |

QUOTE(catsper @ Apr 19 2007, 11:06 PM) Wow. good to have friends inside HP. I got mine from HP employee purchase at price 1k less than market price last time. However he is not my friend, and earn quite an amount by selling to me. Icic... cool. Here is my Vista upgrade pack. Looks pretty simple, 2 DVDs + booklet but yet to install it. Anyone had tried? [attachmentid=220137] Meaning he himself will earn an amount of money too? |

Hiya peeps.... reporting on a HP DV6227.
Glad to say that the notebook's pretty impressive. The only bad side is the unstableness of the Vista Home Premium... it hangs |

Sigh... looks like i'll be having a big problem.
Things were alright y'day till this morning. I tried switching the notebook on and I heard jerks (HDD or rom drive?) twice / thrice, then the fan just stop running... nothing appears on the screen. (just the blue-ish buttons on the quick play bar). What happened? "_" |

QUOTE(Twinchest @ May 7 2007, 09:58 PM) You won't be having BIG problem IF Your notebook is still in warranty. Eh gee thanks mate. But if warranty is gone, then you will have BIG BIG problem cause that's a sign of Motherboard is almost dead. Jerk sound happen when the power supply can't reach the notebook hdd as well as the CD-rom Drive. Nothing you can do here except to bring it to HP tower for a quick fix. What luck I have this month. |

D'OH!
BTW, what time does the HP Service Centre close at? I need the working days / time. Those bloody operators there play "taichi", pushing from lines to lines when what I want is some details from them. Sheeshhh.... |

Wooooott... really gonna praise HP for this.
I've sent my faulty 3days old dv6227tx to HP service centre y'day. Was told that it could be the LCD screen problem or mobo went kaput. Then the lady told me that it could take 1 - 2 weeks to get it done and since I got the laptop under this staff scheme thingy, they told me that I cant do 1-to-1 exchange... but only to repair. I was pissed off then I went to complain to them b4 I left. Then this morning, they called again saying that they'll replace a new one for me and said that collection could be done later. |

Awww dude... this is sh*t man.
Turn on to find a notice that the Vista in my lappie is not genuine, thus asking for the prudoct key. Key in the key according to the OEM sticker behind the lappie and still it's not accepted. What's the problem? Has anyone faced this problem so far? It couldnt be the techies from HP tower (sent once there to replace my mobo) or ppl stealing the product key, as I've been using it at home ever since I got it. Sigh.... headache man. QUOTE(Karinett @ May 23 2007, 11:12 AM) Maybe it has to do with your mobo being replaced... since it's OEM the OS should recognize your laptop right (but now with a different mobo maybe it doesnt)? Before you got it replaced you didn't have a problem? Did you un/reinstall Vista at any point? o.O Could be, before it got replace there wasnt any problem. And I did not un/reinstall Vista as well. Perharps I need to give HP a call 2molo. |

QUOTE(SWFreak @ Jun 8 2007, 01:40 PM) Just bought the DV6227TX from SenQ on the 31st May 2007, offers for PlusOne members...Selling at RM3999.00 + additional RM100 discount (vouchers given by the sales agent!)...& 36 months interest free installment.(RM45 processiong fee). Given a Targus Backpack + carrying case. Bought two units of 1GB RAM....hehe! Quite happy with it! Is there a way to increase the graphics RAM or it auto config based on the main RAM??? why everytime, I press the Quickplay button, it boot to Vista first & then switch to Quickplay! TQ Good one. Sometimes I hate the Quickplay button for being too sensitive. Yes it boots Vista 1st and then after that it will load Quickplay out. |
