Mine live strong after 9 months here....What kind of problem makes you changes all those components? Mind to share your stories?
Battery/Power adapter also can changed?

I sent once only to change DVD burner. Now there is one dead pixel on the screen aww!!! Should I get it changed......?

And thanks william for the link.
*
hmm...power adapter was changed 1 day after i puchased my laptop cause it does not fit my notebook...it just does not "click" if u get wat i mean....so tat was changed...

hdd and dvd rom was changed cause they failed to run the recovery and burining of DVD's result in bad sector....so changed...

now LCD changed cause there are some washed out pixels on the LCD screen....

keyboard changed cause the keys are not so responsive and does not provide adequate tactile feedback...

battery changed cause the hp battery check program ask me to replace it cause battery life spend does not last over an hour wif bluetooth off and brightness set to minimum...

anyone feel that data transfer is kinda slow for the 6203tx? dont know about the others. within folders also i feel a bit slow and from hdd to thumbdrive, copying a 350mb file takes about 2 n a half mins or so@1.95mb/sec. i find that data transfer between thumb drive and desktop pc (only 1.8 p4) is much faster than the 6203. any reason for this?
*
hmm..if ur pendrive is running on USB 1.1...tat speed is pretty normal...just check and see which USB issit on....and bare in mind that writing seped is generally slower than reading speed...

hope it helps..

but if u ask me...tat speed is pretty reasonable...

hmmmm. not sure what speed my pendrive is running at.  but i dont think it's 1.1 coz i bought it quite recently. even if im not sure what speed it is, how come it runs faster on my desktop compared to my dv6203tx? both d slots at d side are 2.0 right??
*
mhm...i've tested wif my pendrive the other day..the speed tat you're mentioning is about the same i'm getting...so i guess this is as fast as it can go..unless u opt for those high speed usb drives...

i know you bought ur drive quite recently..but the market still sell those usb 1.1 modules at rediculous price and it normally full the average consumer....so better be careful...

Guys, I think my laptop dvd writer drive rosak already. I think I'm gonna change it because it's still under warranty.

I'm planning to go to Alor Star service Center. And I have something to ask you guys.

1) Do I need an appointment to change the drive
2) How long will it takes to change the drive? Because I do all of my work in this lappy
3)Should I delete all the confidential files first before going there?
4) What should I bring when going there. Thanks..
*
hmm you dun need an appointment to change your drive..just drop by during working hours and they will take 3 working days to fix it for you. if this is the first time you send it to the service centre, present your proof of purchase so the sales person will register the product for you. please ensure that you backup your data before sending it in as they might format your hard drive...

if u are planning to change any hardware, be prepare to wait for a while.. last time i sent in my laptop for some minor checks. In the end it took more than 3 weeks for me to get it back.

what they did - change a brand new system board. they also found out that, my dvd writer kaput(maybe they spoil it).

why 3 weeks - they investigate the laptop, your laptop will be monitored for some days - HDD test, software test and bla bla bla. If they found out that there is hardware failure, they will send a report to singapore. they change the board and wait for singapore to say whether the hardware failure is caused by user or factory defect. if cause by user, u have to pay..
*
not true, my laptop just got back from service centre and they got it fixed within 5 working days...

parts that has been changed is my USB port and my LCD panel and my hdd...
