my friend often drink late night and he concur that, Grab driver is very choosy and choose location where favorable for them, even at surge 1.5 with promo also ignore, they take solely cash trip only.

There is once he request at KL city centre to Kemuning at RM45 with using some promo (RM5), all the drivers nearby reject his request, he was getting upset and call Uber, immediately got it and happily tip that driver off.

It seem Grab scramble their matching algorithm, no longer nearest driver getting the job. It is based on radius randomly.

I enter Bangsar, job request from brickfield, completed then go back bangsar, then job request at brickfield. Continuously twice in a row.

My guess is more and more driver quitting or switch to Uber since Uber also giving out ace incentive.

now camp at near near LRT or office also not guaranteed get job. hoo hoo. many riders were telling me past few days very hard to get Grab.
but I do notice b2b will try to match you near near to your drop first provided you turn it on available at least a few mins before you reach. and provided there is no hot potato job that nobody wants nearby.
