80% AR...is 4 out of 5 ping must accept. much better compared to
85% AR, not a nice easy whole fraction unless you count to 20...(17 out of 20 pings must accept).
btw is not only jobs completed.. if you accept but customer or you cancel, counted also in your AR.. which is why we say customer cancel is free AR boost.

I do... yesterday accepted 100% morning and night lol.. with 80% AR I'm not so afraid... especially without the CR requirement.
I think the test is this Friday when I see if I have enough bullets accumulated by the evening to decide whether to drive to the 11pm hour or not.
if after 7pm AR no good or hutang some more.. will drive to repair AR then offline. if got bullets... drive until one bullet left 😁

Hey guys those who on HG...just want to share... DO NOT rely on the in-app incentive tab to find out your CURRENT LIVE AR. It only updates AFTER the time period is ended!
Eg...say the 8-9pm block, at 8pm start, your AR was 100%.(accepted and completed 10 jobs, 0 cancel) ...by 8.45pm say, you already completed two jobs and IGNORED 1 job... that means your CURRENT AR should be 92.3% (12/13), HOWEVER if you check by clicking on currently active block...it would show ZERO qualified rides and AR still 100%....!!

I checked this twice already this evening...even 15 minutes after the 8pm block ended(9.15pm)...still not updated! only around 9.45pm I checked, then the AR is updated and the 8pm block correctly shows the number of qualified rides.

SOLUTION: until Grab updates their main app display to show the current live AR like before, to track AR, have to manually keep track of the number of IGNORED jobs....the other two parameters (completed jobs and cancellations can obtain from job history).

NOthing happened (at least that I'm aware of), I drive the same way, maintain the same manners and maintain the same standard for my car. It's VERY possible to run into a string of 4* bringing down your rating....Especially if the 5* ratings happened to drop off (moving average).

EG :

1st rating-10th rating all 5 stars

101th rating to 110th rating got two 4 stars...

What is more Friday, Saturday I got like 40+ people rate... sure can expect a few 4 stars....which is Why everytime I see my DR go to new high...I'm thinking the higher they go, the hard they fall...

Im guessing none of them ever tried driving a passenger before

those hours tend to have higher price fare also... doesn't mean ALL high fares are bad if you're incentive...just need to have experience and judgement to take the high fare that are worth it....
if you buta buta take only low fares then you will suffer under the new system.

you are not obligated to return to her location if she refuse, tell her to come collect it herself or you can send it to grab HQ. come on la don't spoil this kind of bastard customers...

it's not only that, the price discount INCREASES during high demand surge time... say normal GS fare is cheaper 20%... when during high demand surge the discount can be more than 30%...

kelifu I'm curious what is the profile of this customer like age and ethnicity?? trying to guess what kind of customers can be so self centered and selfish one...tak malu

The thing is...when surge is that high, most riders I've met tell me they wait until price come down....or take MRT/bus to a place nearer their destination.

The people who MUST travel during these period...most likely are also in a rush/time constrained...so how would they react if they have to share their ride? I'm sure most of them know they might get matched, I just can't understand their thought process of been in a rush yet willing to gamble/risk taking GS to save $.

Its like you book air ticket last minute because you MUST travel...but then you take an option on that ticket that says they can standby/rebook you to later flight...

That area south of NPE I think less drivers evening...drop off pax there, will get ping 3km away, or on the other side (PJ old town) which will take you 20 mins to reach since jam...

OTOH...yesterday also I drop off pax at mid valley (twice), get pax immediately at the same pickup location or maybe just 50m down the road

Same....I almost always take higher fare Grabcar job (sometimes if lucky with traffic can still have time to complete two more jobs in that hour)...GS I only take if <$10 (maybe if no bullets and higher fare will take up to $15).

The only time I can say GS benefited me was once at 845pm, need two more jobs for max incentive, accepted $3 GS job (!!, LMAO) pickup from LRT station, then get matched SAME LRT station ($5 fare also LMAO). SO lesson learnt, if get GS at LRT/MRT, take

Kena before, 755pm $18 GS job from Mutiara Damansara to Taman desa, 805pm matched with another $34 job from condo in Damansara Perdana/Empire Square to Tun Hussein Onn Cheras. By the time drop off last second rider.. 910pm, reach home 950 pm with NO JAM some more (public holiday).

Both not worth it...$18 job was 4th job on HP block, should have ignored the $34 job but I've never ignored a matched GS job before yet.

Read my previous post...first drop off was at Taman Desa, second drop off near to CHERAS Batu 10!!! almost 20 km away!
