Guys, so next april we no need declare to lhdn first issit? We only declare for 2018 earnings in apr 2019.

Dam scared leh. 2016 tax also i kena topup 840, rate at 21pct.

If factor in grab income, likely to be 24pct tax bracket.

Moving forward need to keep at lewst 16pct of every earning (fare and incentive) to cover 20pct of tax portion for grab earnings.

Factor all in , really dunno worth it or not doing parttime. Dam sien.

Bros, as per the other forum, it was mentioned uber grab legalized only in July. Does it mean we only declare july/aug onwards?

Some more, I didn't keep petrol receipts from mar till may also.

Only june onwards.

Also. I think most part-timers will kena tax for whole taxable nett grab earnings (ie. Less petrol and maintenance and maybe phone, not sure).

Maybe so. Coz i indeed rent for grab purpose only.

I did a rough calculation, monthly tax kena abt 800 - 1.1k.

Like wtf....

Honestly if hav choice I won't be grabbing.

But so much committments so did grab to supplement.

Didnt expect income tax originally.

Now i may get hit by 8-10k of income tax for this. We be grab kuli oso kena. Haha....

So sad..

This is if u do grab part time and full time job edi fill tax quota.

Eg. 95k taxable income from permanent job.

First 70k is taxed flat 5600
next 25k is at 21pct is 5250

Say i earn grab income less all cost is 3k per mth, this income is subject to flat 21pct tax. Which is 630.

I have not factored in maintenance, lookong for the receipts.

I had to fix aircond, battery etc.

Bro, so far i can only think of the following for expenses, any more i may miss?

1 petrol
2 internet for phone
3 maintenance
4 car rental (if u rent for grab, proof is rental agreement)
5 new phone purchase (can ah? Coz bought bigger phone for grab, my 5s was too small)

Now feeling scared too drive more.

Earn more get taxed more. Hahha.. fml.

I recommend note 4x.

5.5 inch, 3gb ram, Snapdragon 625, 32gb rom, dual sim hybrid. 4000 mAh battery. all for less 700 nowadays. Original from mi Malaysia.

Klcc got mi store also now.

Other brands would cost u more than 1 grand for sure.

But downside is the cbk camera/video recording. Else no issue.

I love miui os, it feels a lot like ios and lotsa handy phone maintenance apps.

In summary, best bang for ur buck. I bought it specifically for grab btw. Very very rarely gps issue. Nice to watch movie also. Just lcd hd though. Brightness is sufficient for day driving etc.

Also, many accessories available on lelong. Just ensure u buy note 4x version and not note 4 accessories.
