QUOTE(goodfornoob @ Aug 10 2017, 10:40 PM) today i had just asked the price of v-kool elite for honda city is 2800 I think too expensive for its performance. Need to look for TSER (total solar energy rejection) not IR for heat rejection. |

QUOTE(goodfornoob @ Aug 10 2017, 10:40 PM) today i had just asked the price of v-kool elite for honda city is 2800 Whether it is worth it or not, it's very subjective. Moreover you can't compare the tints since you have to install the tints on your car then only you can compare. In other words, one can only judge on the performance of the tint based on past experiences, specification (TSER) or word of mouth from the forum. Yes, V-Kool Elite is expensive but so far it's the best tint in terms of heat rejection, in my experience. I have not tried many but have only compared it to the Huper Optik. I switched to Huper Optik when I bought a new car as it is cheaper. Sech 60 and C40. The Huper Optik combination is not as cool as the V-kool. It feels slightly hotter in the car when compared to V-kool. That's not to say Huper Optik is bad. IT is still a good tint but comparatively it just did slightly worse than V-kool. The Huper Optik costs around RM1600+/- for a C-segment, maybe slightly cheaper for a B-segment like the Honda City. So if you ask me again whether to go with V-kool or any other tint, it's your choice really, whether you are willing to pay extra RM1000 or more to get slightly superior performance. No doubt V-kool's performance in terms of heat rejection is superb but it is costlier than most tints out there. I have not tried other tints such as Raytech, Llumar etc. so no comment there. |

In other words, one can only judge on the performance of the tint based on past experiences, specification (TSER) or word of mouth from the forum. There are several series in V-Kool lineup. I believe the V-Kool Elite is the lowest performing in the series. Am I right? I said it is costly for Honda City size and the series itself but I have no idea on pricing of this series. I have used V-Kool before but that time Elite was not yet existed. Now I'm using other brand which is better than V-Kool I've used before but it is costlier Yes, V-Kool Elite is expensive but so far it's the best tint in terms of heat rejection, in my experience. QUOTE(zenockl85 @ Aug 30 2017, 05:03 PM) when some thing happen u wan claim tinted warranty , the shop still there and no asking any question direct change to u ~ So for that warranty alone you think it's worth rm2800??? u buying no brand tinted how know the shop still available for u to claim warranty · Naah, for over 20 years of owning various cars in several countries too, I just always use cheap rm100-200 tints and never ever have any problems whatsoever! Even if got some problem, how bad can it be? Just replace them again with another set at another place, no big deal. That's why IMHO such expensive tints are just rip offs, warranty or not. |

QUOTE(zenockl85 @ Aug 30 2017, 06:03 PM) when some thing happen u wan claim tinted warranty , the shop still there and no asking any question direct change to u ~ The initial price paid already can cover over x10 retint material and labor. They still profit much. Its like gambling. 90% paid premium but no major problem.u buying no brand tinted how know the shop still available for u to claim warranty · Those with extreme case sure wont need redo tint 10x until the shop make losses lol. Customer still big loser imagind waste many days and travel back to shop for fix that frequent. This post has been edited by alanyuppie: Aug 30 2017, 08:34 PM |
