Looks like there are changes to Maxis Fibre Plans.

http://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/intern...xisonehome.html

10Mbps now comes with
+Unlimited voice calls to all mobile and landlines
+FREE DECT phone

All for the same monthly price of RM139, which is the same as before this without the free voice calls and phone.

What is the Catch here Maxis?

I am currently on the old 10Mbps Plan @RM139 without Dect Phone or free calls. What changes to the terms and conditions that I am unaware when migrating to the new plan?

What are the Major plan changes compared to the previous 10Mbps plan, apart from signing up for another 24 month contract.
Is maxis that generous now in the face of stiff competition or like they say "Ada Udang di sebalik Batu"

Lowyat forumers, should I migrate?

you probably got it right at the signing up another 24 month contract bit.

TIME is expanding, and you can get 100Mbps for around the same price. Competition is heating up and they are just offering you unlimited VOIP calls to tie you down for another 24 months.

The best ISP is astro IPTV

Take it or leave it, with high pricing. Damn!

Many thanks for the information.

Technicolor routers, are they gooding? Any frequent disconnection when using these routers?

I am subscribing to 10Mbps, waiting for installation.

They are okay but if you're not using VoIP or IPTV from Astro, just buy your own router. That's what I do anyway, as you can't really configure the Technicolor router fully.

Then you should just continue using the Technicolor. It's not a bad router tbh.

I was using that for few years, but recently changed to TP Link C7 as I was not using the VoIP or IPTV. Am planning to upgrade to Asus RT-AC68 as there are many devices in my house.

Sad to hear that bro. Did you call TM to see what they can do for you or Time if it's available?

No choice. 1st, my condo is already 16 yrs old and condo management had not decided to change the copper cables due to limitation to access the building. Guess I have to stick back with TM and apply astro dish seperately. No TIME coverage here. It's sad but this is the outcome.

No setop box for those maxis home fiber 10mb?

Was tempting to switch from my current unifi 5mb (hyptv setop box, free voice call to fixed line).

Without setop box iptv i cant watch tv channels.
