First i received SMS from TM saying my internet speed got free upgrade from 30mpbs to 50mbps. But found out they wrongly sent the message and the so called free upgrade is only one in life time. Once done can not entitle second free upgrade. So, 3 days ago i received sms again from TM that i entitle to a special package that with extra RM10 can get free jumbo pack and speed upgrade from 10mbps to 30mbps. So i was skeptical about it since the hoax free upgrade 30 to 50 in previous event. I didn't come to this threads to find out but luckily i asked my whatsapp friends and they all said they got the message and already upgraded. . So today i called 100 and after series of question and versification, i decided to jump in. :hype:

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Nov 21 2017, 10:18 AM) How you get it done? Without terminate and reapply? I walked in yesterday and the officer sitting in front of numbering ticket straight tell me CANNOT. you need to call 100. If you are the one who received the SMS from TM for Rm10 upgrade. Their system will show.

QUOTE(DeadmanX @ Nov 20 2017, 02:03 AM) My opinion on this matter, -RM10/month deal is real -speed upgrade is real - HyppTV Jumbo pack is real but limited to 1 year only, after that you'll need to pay additional cost if you wanted to keep the package (it does say HyppTV Jumbo worth RM720 and Jumbo Pack is RM60/month) -price remains the same after two year is also true I guess there's no need to panic, or they might already told when you decided to subscribe RM10 Bonanza Plus, just no one seems to care either being too excited or TM simply forgot to tell. From what i was told, the jumbo pack is there as long as you stick to there forever unless u change the content of the bonanza offer?

QUOTE(DeadmanX @ Nov 21 2017, 11:39 AM) That's just a speculation from mine since it was told "worth RM720" as Jumbo Pack (RM60) x12 = 1 year. So what's going to happen after RM720? From what I heard here, they said "price remains the same as long as Jumbo Pack and STD20 in tact even after 2 years" Why would they said that if Rm10/month equals everything in the upgraded pack? That's the fishy part. Let's say ppl with RM189. They pay RM10+ for this this and enjoyed the Jumbo Pack "free" offer for RM720 only. After that in order to "maintain" RM189, they need to keep the Jumbo Pack subscribed which means RM60/month = RM249 next year onward. And you cannot terminate because of 2 years contract or paid penalty fees. At least that's what I'm afraid of. But, of course it's just my speculation. There's no proof in it. Take it with a grain of salt. And, going to call 100 now. SMS got text limitation. They can't explain all the promo in details. best is you call 100. But i am very sure that the jumbo back & STD20 will be remain as long as you stick to the new contact even after it expired 24 months later.

QUOTE(throx @ Nov 22 2017, 12:57 PM) Ok, this is what I got..... Was on VIP5/RM149, free upgraded to 10Mbps last year. Received the SMS last week and went to TMPoint this morning to upgrade. Now RM159 for 30Mbps with Jumbo Pack. Was told that the price is for 2 years (contract) only and no more free call unless pay another RM20/month. Upgrade should complete within 24hours and all I have to do is to reboot my router. So after 2 years, if the price increase or TM start to charge me for the Jumbo Pack, I will terminate. Bro, i am same situation with like. But got some different story. In this upgrade package u will have STD20 which is 600 min free call any mobile operators and land line calling will be charged in this 600 min free time. After 600m exhausted. You will be charge Rm 0.10 per call to any mobile and TM land line still free. Secondly The price and package will be remain even after the 24 months contracted. Change of Hypp TV package, upgrade or downgrade speed will result of termination of the free jumbo pack and STD 20. within or after the contract expired. QUOTE(soonwai @ Dec 4 2017, 11:07 PM) It depends, if DIR-615 problem then changing it will help. The DIR-615 is more than capable of servicing 30mbps. WiFi router: DLink DIR-615 UniFi 100mbps iPhone 6s 2.4Ghz N 20MHz Channel Width MacBook Pro Retina 13" with Cliptec 100mbps Ethernet USB adaptor If interference then you might need to go 5GHz. Wifi router can change but are your devices capable of 5GHz? Hi It's nice to know 615 is more than capable of handling 30mbps bandwidth. Can you show or direct me to the page that i can change the setting on my 615 to reach 30mbps?
