any expert can help me on this? Recently i got a free upgrade from 30mb to 50mb. My internet speed become horrible, dl only 20mb. i am using TP-Link ac1200 router. Previously when i was still using 30mb, i always got 30mb + - . Anyone facing the same issues?

I have got the free upgrade from 30mbs to 50mbs for quite sometimes now. I have no issue of getting 50mbs from wired connection but wifi speed stuck around 25-26mbs...

Reading from this forum, I need to upgrade the lousy tm router.  I'm thinking of getting dual channel Asus or TP link.

However, since most of my gadgets are from appple ( iMac, iPad, iPhone) I'm thinking of getting apple Airport Extreme.  So would like to get opinion, is airport extreme will solve my wifi issue? Or I should stick to tplink or asus router?

i got the 50 to 100mbps upgrade call from tm. She say she will call me second time to double confirm and then there will be disruption for my internet.

So after i got the second call will my internet be down for few days or my connection will be slow?

on C5v2 (ac1200), performance and stability are superb. Best ever wifi router given by TM. :thumbsup:

I can't believe my Unifi 30mbps comes in just 3 working days. Installation is fast and the speed and ping is very stable too. I totally change my mindset about TMnet now. Streamyx was pain in the ass but not Unifi.

Yes, it's good. I hardly have any outage unless it's affecting everyone else. Very stable connection, my sis coming from 4Mbps Streamyx to UniFi 50Mbps now, she said the difference is like sky and earth. Not only much faster but way more stable.
Nowadays no longer having such group.

Technician have come to my house.the problem is the router. It does not supported the 50 mbps speed. For me, replacement of the router is free due to under warranty,but the contract is renewed. The bill for technician,rm53, will be add on the next bil.

After MCMC complain yesterday and lots of complain to TM, finally get the 50Mbps free upgrade 😎

I have a question regarding the unifi router and ethernet switch.

I am using unifi, DIR - 615 modem, it has 4 Lan ports, the last port is for unifi TV. The other 3 ports are all used. If I want to connect 1 of the 3 ports to a ethernet switch so that it can connect to more computers/laptops, is it doable?

Will there be any reduction in internet speed in that particular port?

So no news on unifi budget 2018 huhuhu.
