QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Aug 16 2017, 11:48 PM) hahahaha....that's not fair. I taught the ports installed enough to cater the residents there. Why tak cukup wan? Because in my area, I saw some house having 2 cable from pole enter right into their house. Got a question, right now I have 2 ISP in 1 btu now, can I request for a split up? I'm asking this because my house has 3 phase power so using the powerline is meh... living in 3 storey house, unifi is on highest ground and maxis is lower ground, so I want a new btu on the lowest ground because I had unifi installed first and the technician place it on the highest ground. During the maxis installation, the technicians never ask me whether I want it split or having it join together in 1 btu, ended up it join. Called 1 cs through the phone and I feel unconvinced because she was rude or I never believe if she tell the truth, I just want to confirm here to see if its possible to request for btu split up. |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Aug 17 2017, 07:51 AM) For me first I installed unifi, then second apply Maxis. Maxis fibre wasn't around that time when I first install unifi in my area. I asked the person in my neighborhood how he managed to get 2 cables from pole into his house, he told me he had maxis first then unifi. On the phone when I call 100, the cs told me I have to call the last ISP that install their service on tm btu. Basically is like tumpang to stay in people house but you can't ask the owner to move away and you stay in their house. From the second when I apply Maxis I have request many times to Maxis to install second fibre cable. But end up they need liaise with TM, so TM detected I already have fibre cable so they tell Maxis no need to install second cable, then I keep argue with them so ended install 1 cable only with shared BTU. They said the other port need reserve for other neighbor use. He then tell me to call maxis and I get a rude answer from a lady saying I can't split up no matter what, even after terminating and reinstall. But I did ask maxis cs via phone if there is extra port in my area(and yes, there is some ports available) before asking a btu split up because if you ask them for split up then for ports availability they will always come up a reason to say "port is full" because they can't answer your first question. QUOTE(aneip @ Aug 17 2017, 09:02 AM) That why they use dedicated btu. So can use by multiple isp and of course can lower cable utilization. Give chance for others to enjoy the unifi also. I could, but it be nice to have separate btu because it's much cleaner. Currently tm have drilled my aluminium window frame just to pull the fiber cable in. The area I planned to place the btu is not too deep inside the house, just drill hole and place the btu like 2 metres next to the hole on either of the floors in my house. You can pull lan cable from btu to maxis router to downstairs.. But need to spend money la. This post has been edited by kennydy1990: Aug 17 2017, 10:07 AM |

Anyone here received their 50 to 100 free upgrade recently during tm maintenence but never receive call from tm to arrange installation or new equipment? Because my BTU only support 10/100 base-t. I called up few times yesterday, one of the cs told me their system is down, others said is under maintenance and all the calls I made they said they're unable to check for me and can't send technician to come until the system is up. Also, one of them told me before mentioning the system is down or maintenence, said you can't change unless you're getting 80mb and below in the speedtest result. Right now I'm stuck like this, just worried if I make a claim for new equipments, my contract will be refreshed.
EDIT : Sorry, forgot to mention, it's from free upgrade campaign. This post has been edited by kennydy1990: Oct 13 2017, 12:57 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 23 2017, 10:14 PM) Had to make a report for a new router because they didn't give, I've got AC88U and it died a couple mouths back so I have to use back my old RT-N12 that I bought in 2013 for my VIP5 plan, can't fulfill my speed at long range. That also they didn't attend so I have to make a second report for them to come again. |

QUOTE(afif92 @ Oct 25 2017, 02:21 PM) Can't wait for free upgrade again next year. On topic : Using repeater hurts my speed so much. TV, BTU, router and TM STB is being used downstairs. I'm currently using other router as repeater and connect it to my desktop. |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Oct 26 2017, 01:03 PM) Got my upgrade to 100mb activated today, upload is fine at 55mb, download only getting around 70. Yeah, same case with me, I had to call them to change it and requires me to renew my contract. Guess I'll be sticking to unifi for some time. It'll be a waste the BTU caps your download speed less than 100mb especially if I want to get that extra 14mb without any hiccups. They only brought a new router and said new modem wasn't necessary. I assumed they'd be changing modem as the existing one only has 100mb ports rather than gigabit? |
