a noob here. Currently I'm on a 50mbps package with monthly fee of RM200. I normally only watch YouTube videos or watch Iflix at HD quality. From the looks of it, average speed  around 6mbps. If I were to downgrade to a lower package of 10mbps (RM129 package), would that impact my user experience? As much as I enjoy the 50mbps, no choice but to cut costs....

mine is like this, so meaning I have 600 minutes free call to all local numbers including mobiles? I used to have unlimited TM landline calls but seems like it's gone now.

I am on VIP10 with RM70 discount making it RM129 (starting August bill) after requesting to downgrade to Unifi Lite at TM Point. They let me retain my 10/10 down/up speed but seems like the unlimited landline calls has been replaced with 600 minutes

Guys.... the unifi lite plan Rm129 does it included fix line? I knew is pay per call but does it need to pay additional "sewa telephone Rm20 every month?

anyone knows how to detect what is wrong with my connectivity?

Might be a router issue rather than a connection issue. Have you tried switching to another router?

Eh I applied through online reseller... then the guy told me need thumbprint verification before installation.... is this a normal practice?

hey guys i have problem with my cylinder d link router

the internet globe went orange after i updated the firmware.. eversince everytime i turned off the router i had to reconfigure it for the internet to have connection.. called 100 but after a lot of troubleshooting the just end up asking me to chenge to a new router... do you guys experienced any of this? thanks

I'm assuming your D Link cylinder DIR-850L router is provided by TM and you updated the firmware with the Retail firmware update? In that case, you should not have updated the firmware as it might not be suitable for use in your TM-provided router. The firmware is broke if you're using the cylinder D Link DIR850L router. If I were you, I would get another router ASAP, something better than the rubbish bin router.

Hi, I was checking on my parents' house yesterday on the Unifi cabling route as I'm planning to subscribe 1 for them.

But around that area, I couldn't find those fiber "box" from TM. The only thing I can see is the box on the pole as per the picture below. My I know is this the source where the Unifi fiber cable will be pulled from?

Also when checking the houses around that area, I can't find a single house with the FTB installed at the front/back of their houses. Most will have this cable pulled from this pole directly into their houses. Does it means that the area is without Unifi? Or maybe it's running on VDSL?

Does it means that TM will pull the Unifi fiber cable from this box? Coz I wanna see where's the shortest route to run the cable.

OK noted. I planned to put it at the family hall on the 1st floor (it's a double storey house).

BTW this box is located at the back lane and since the house is a corner unit, can I request the installer to put the FTB at the side wall of the house instead of the back wall? This will help to reduce the internal cabling length to within the free quota from TM. If the FTB is put at the back of the house, the internal cabling will be more than 15m where I need to pay extra for it.

Hi guys. Am on UniFi 50mbps. Technicians just changed my router to TP-Link Archer C1200. Im getting speeds as shown in the screenshot for speedtest.net but everythjng just seem to be loading so slowly on WiFi. Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldnt find any noob friendly solutions.

U should have asked TM the details.
