Definitely yes. The C5 is much better. What did you do to get TM to offer you a replacement? I want to exchange my C1200 too if possible.

Is it really better in terms of stability and speed ? If yes I'd like to request to change it too.

The C5 is a 2015 model while the one I have C1200 is 2016 model but I had faced the WiFi not connecting issue and sometimes internet will stop working for a moment issue.

Your Wifi not connecting issue means the router freezes (if yes, then i have the same issue as well, but just once in a while), for temporarily internet stop working (yes to me, it just suddenly no internet but will return in a while).

Hi bro, would like to clarify on the unstable wifi issue before i make my final decision to exchange it for c5v2 router, as to me is unstable is the extremely high ping sometimes when downloading or even just watching youtube (may reach 3000+, will recover by itself but takes some time, sometimes need to keep refresh), normal period, just a slight jump for the ping (download can reach 3-3.6Mbytes/s and able to watch youtube at 1080p at the same time), Im using Unifi 30Mbps. Was wondering unstable wifi issue means this to you bro?

Hi bro, would like to clarify on the stable wifi meaning before i make my final decision to exchange it for c5v2 router, does it mean when you downloading the ping doesnt jump high??as to my current c1200, sometimes ping will jump extremely high like few thousands when downloading or even just watching youtube, it will recover to stable state by takes some time, sometimes i will need to keep refreshing to get stable, normal period downloading can reach 3-3.6Mbytes/s and able to watch youtube at 1080p at the same time, will c5v2 router having this issue?Appreciate your feedback

get the archer c5 tp link, tm gives that too

Hi bro, does c5v2 router will cause high ping (like few thousands) when download or watching youtube. My current c1200 sometimes will, but recover by itself or sometimes need to keep refresh until it is stable. Download speed can reach >3Mbytes/s and able to watch youtube 1080p same time during stable period. Im using Unifi 30Mbps. Was wondering c5v2 will have this issue, need to clarify this before making final decision to change to c5v2 as being offered by tm?

my archer c5 never give me any problem since I susbcribed to unifi 30Mbps in dec 2017 until, upgraded to 50Mbps in August 2017 and now i am unifi 100Mbps.

never experience high ping and I am able to get full speed all the time.

Firmware Version:
3.17.1 Build 20160317 Rel. 4317
Hardware Version:
ArcherC5 v2

besides, that's purely my personal experience. not sure if you will experience the same. tongue.gif

ipv6 disabled.

NAT Boost : disabled.

i can get almost 11MB/s of download speed.

Thanks bro, I usually set it to google dns servers on my dekstop and laptop itself, any difference? Mine is 30Mbps Unifi, so max download speed at 3+MB/s.
