guys i am experiencing internet disconnects wired and wireless
i need reset the modem(the silver square box) to reconnect...

Is this normal now or i should contact TM?
Should i change the modem?

Don't worry. Unifi on fibre is quite reliable. No experience on VDSL. Router hanging is another story but you can always get a better router of your own. The routers that TM supplies are OK if not stressed too much.
1% is 87hrs. Considered bad already but, as you said, it depends on where you are.

Mine works fine (DLink 850L),  but many claims, its insufficient

I am all in for pure WiFi usage and never have issue with it but I am using my own router - Huawei WS-880.
The stock router doesn't have good wireless coverage, before I bought this router, I used other router as AP and coverage issue was also solved this way.

been on UNIFI since 03/2016. so far so good, no service disruption encountered, but need to restart both modem & router at times..
apart from the pricing RM179, so far am satisfied 

My story

Saw lowyat news about rm10 upgrade.

Saturday call 100 they sY my name not entitle for the upgrade.

Monday try my luck using online chat, they say can upgrade but need to wait tm sale person to call me back.

So today still no news I go to tm point at quill city mall. 15min already register. Waiting for them to come to my home on Monday to replace the equipment

I prepared someone might call me an idiot  , but you can try disable your IPv6 and visit the site again.
At least disable IPv6 solved this similar problem for me.

I also don't know why, and I will be very happy if someone could tell me the culprit. 

My primary PC at home was having this issue, while my second PC (also at home, under same network) did not.
My phone and family members' phone did not have this issue.

Example: All browser cannot display this site (as an example) -> http://www.mi.com/my/ from this PC if I enable IPv6.
Other device have no problem with it.
Disabling IPv6 and the problem is gone immediately.

Do this from the router if possible. You can do it from your phone but much better if you disable IPv6 from your router.

Hmm, no issues with those websites.. IMO, I don't think it's an ipv6 specific problem cuz ipv6 is working on my end (stock router with Aussie firmware) and since it's only a particular phone giving the issue. That be the culprit. You running an anti-virus or firewall capable software on the phone? Disable those first as they could be blocking those urls unintentionally. Had a similar issue but with just "mail.yahoo.com" on a home pc only, yahoo and other related pages worked, just the mail section. Turns out, it was Bitdefender's website filtering firewall that was blocking access to the site. Disabled that feature and page loads instantly.. Bitdefender later issued an update that fixed the bug.

It could be IPv6 bro as it is not well implemented for some people and for others it seem to be fine. He did mentioned eventually, see below, that it is not only for one phone.
IPv6 is designed to replace IPv4, as IPv4 addresses have run out now and there isn’t enough to go around. I told you already bro, disable IPv6 on your router. Loginto your router and find a place where there is a setting for IPv6. If it is disabled, then, it could be something else, but start there first.

I agreed as SilentVampire suggested, you can do it in router, just temporary, if no different, then you can re-enable it without any harm.
Hi voncrane, that's why I said this issue so strange.
I even tried uninstall security software from my PC. 
Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming IPv6, I am also curious to know why. 
Only happened in certain device, and I believed my particular PC have something wrong, and too painful to reformat my PC to start fresh. 
I know, only certain devices have this issue, I have spent a long and tedious time to figure this out.
Since I don't know the exact cause and since disabling my IPv6 works, so I just do it until I found out the root cause.

There are three sides. Permanent or temporary = it depends.

ISP side = IPv6 routing and address delegation issue.

Client side = router/client device with MTU issue (packet fragmentation, packet too large etc), phone OS with IPv6 problem (the legendary wake-lock, older android use SLAAC only), or OS/Firewall etc is blocking IGMPv6.

Server side = some servers misconfigure their IPv6 server, no route to host etc....

It's not a big issue at the moment.. Probably even for a couple years so up to TM & Co to implement properly.. So now it's not a permanent issue for the country. However, if it's due to the specific devices, then well...

No, you don't need a LAN cable to effect such change.. Can be done through wifi. Only time you'd need a LAN cable is to flash firmwares and perform initial setup.. It's recommended. Besides, if Hypptv is installed then, there must be a LAN cable at your place.

See below for an excellent explanation from bro JohnLai. As other forumers have said, you don't need to buy a LAN cable to connect laptop to router and you can do it wirelessly.
