Guys, TM called me to exchange my TM router so they can upgrade my 50Mbps to 100Mbps. They insist that they come and change that router 1st before they change my speed to 100Mbps. it is quite frustrated as i know my Nightgear router can handle 100Mbps
What is the make/model of the TM's 100mbps router?

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Aug 12 2017, 11:20 AM) lol...just ask them to deliver and get it done, if if you dont like their router, then reuse back yours Some get dlink some tplink, depends on location and device availability the problem is, i'm only available at home during weekends and they only can come another 2 weeks i cant believe that they cant just up my speed 1st then only change the router This post has been edited by AMstrong: Aug 12 2017, 12:05 PM

QUOTE(soonwai @ Aug 29 2017, 12:51 AM) Same BTU as mine but I'm on 30mbps so it doesn't affect me. You're right. With FE ports, the most you'll get is 95-97mbps even if internet is the only thing running. If HyppTV is on a HD channel, it'll use about 8mbps. SD channels are about 2mbps. Try a Speedtest while watching HyppTV HD. I was under the impression that TM will change the BTU to a Gb one for those upgrading to 100mbps. Try and get TM to change the BTU. Failing that, you can murder the BTU and get a free replacement. Just make it look like a suicide or an accident. TM supposed to change the BTU to HG8240W, They bring it during my 100Mbps upgrade but didnt install it because i already got the HG8240W 4 years ago.

QUOTE(jusbella @ Sep 4 2017, 10:35 PM) Thank you! That's the one I mentioned before. Do u know the LAN port is gigabit port or fast Ethernet? according to the user manual found in TM website, it is 100Mbps only. Scroll to page 1-4 https://www.tm.com.my/Home/Broadband/unifi/...ide%20(ONU).pdf
