QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Nov 1 2017, 01:12 PM) if it's true, wondering if should change. but worry if change, then later suddenly got new and even better promo. New package should always cheaper, better or faster. There is no ending story. Worse case locked for 24 months, then free to re-sign new package. TM should learn from SingTel, sell the package with tenure, the longer the cheapest, eg 30Mbps, RM179 x 12 months or RM139 x 24 months, let the buyer decides and commits.

QUOTE(EroS @ Nov 1 2017, 02:57 PM) Ahh.. After the free upgrade, TM renewed my contract. Free upgrade 2016/2017 under Budget 2017? If yes, your contract with TM was not renewed when upgraded. Check again.

QUOTE(kider @ Nov 2 2017, 08:48 AM) Anyone have any thoughts/experience. If i were to renew my contract - then I shift my house to other place which have no unifi coverage. Will i be able to terminate due to that reason? Must replace with similar Streamyx package instead of Unifi, unless the area is not covered by Streamyx/Unifi. Relocation Customers can request for relocation from TMpoint outlets where they will be required to fill in a relocation form. Customers will be charged a relocation fee of RM300. If a customer who is within contract period requests for relocation, the contract period will be resumed and it will not be renewed. The relocation of a customer's UniFi service will involve 2 appointments with TM, one is for the collection of the BTU, and the other appointment will be for installation and configuration at the new premise by TM's installer. Customers are expected to pack all their CPE and transport them to the new premise to be reused. The relocation of UniFi service can only be done if the customer is moving to a location where UniFi services are available. For cases where customers relocate to a location where UniFi service is not available, customers are to subscribe to TM Broadband™ where the TM Broadband™ contract period, terms and conditions are applicable. Subsequently, if customers do not wish to subscribe to TM Broadband™, TM will consider that the customer has prematurely terminated the contract and a penalty of RM500 will be charged. If customers relocate to an area where TM Broadband™ services are not available, customers will not be charged a penalty but customers will have to produce any utility bill as proof. QUOTE(hafizhans @ Nov 2 2017, 08:52 AM) when we get the free upgrade to 50mbps, do our contract also renewed? i forgot. thinking to terminate n get the 30mbps bonanza deal FAQ's of TM Thank You Surprise 2017: Will the customer’s service contract be renewed? How about CPE warranty extension? - No, the customer’s service contract will not be renewed following the upgrading exercise. - No contract to be refreshed, therefore, CPE warranty will not be extended following the upgrading exercise.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Nov 2 2017, 09:16 AM) So many people at tm point now asking for bonanza, those from 50mbps want "downgrade" but can't are complaining now. Haha those people prefer cheaper 30Mbps than free upgrade to 50Mbps! Look like people are more desperate to get 30Mbps at RM139 now. - TM is stopping existing customers to move to Time 100Mbps RM150. - TM can tell Govt soon Malaysians are comfortable with 30Mbps@RM139 in next 2 years, so price cut by half (from RRP) is not needed at this moment and can be KIV to a later date.

QUOTE(eehong @ Nov 3 2017, 03:28 PM) for the Streamyx BB package, i still dont get why TM rolls-out this kind of package: 1. 2Mb-RM83 2. 4Mb-RM88 3. 8Mb-RM89 I think it's a no-brainer to sign up for the 8Mb package, since price diff for these 3 packages is only RM6.... really weird for TM to make such move A lot of users had subscribed Streamyx at this pricing many years ago. It was offered to sub-urban and low income group only and now extended to all new applications.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 15 2017, 09:57 AM) I asked my cousin just now, also new house and underground conduit already built-in but with no fibre cable. TM charged him also but he only paid RM100 straight to the installer. Unofficially if you know what I mean. Your installer didn't offer you that? Did he give you a receipt? Cause normally official installation charges goes into your upcoming UniFi bill. Installation charge - pay directly to the installer (usually no GST) but monitored by TM. The charge will appear at your installation acceptance form (digital), not on TM's billings. It is a one-time charge, so don't have to pay again in the future even you switch the ISP or change the Unifi package. I don't mind to pay for works to hide the cables and covered inside ceiling. It is still worth as I will not see the cables for life. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Nov 15 2017, 01:16 PM

QUOTE(atah @ Nov 17 2017, 10:11 AM) Got a question about the new Unifi installation guide. As per the picture below, the 1st 50m internal wiring is free. And under the note, it's stated that the material will be RJ45 and RJ11. So how about the fiber length from the FWS to the BTU? What's the length limit for this? Or now this length is already RJ45 instead of fiber cable? Any idea? [attachmentid=9344561] Thanks It is better to pay a bit extra (one-off) to hide your cables inside the ceiling/walls. otherwise you will see the cable for life!

QUOTE(soonwai @ Nov 17 2017, 10:44 AM) Yeah, TM quite clear on that. 100mbps 299 + Existing Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less discount 200 = RM189 So you still get "Promo Discount Perpetual" or 24 months only?

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jan 10 2018, 08:55 AM) I just found out that Streamyx fix line numbers can now be migrated to unifi. Since when did they implement this? Port-in is possible since 20/6/2017. One time charge to change tel number is RM25.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Feb 28 2018, 06:59 PM) Already have unifi mobile. But Unifi Mobile cannot switch to use Unifi's fibre infra and use Unifi Landline number. They are still 2 separate platforms.
