so telcos really can/would block thru imei..

fake.. maxis cant lock the phone. and u already paid the phone earlier. eventhough it was subsidised, only owner can lock the phone. U have been scammed by the previous owner. GG

conclusion... don buy telco phone. this happen bcoz previous owner purchase phone insurans.. after they sell their phone, they make report their phone got stolen etc. the telco will replace they phone with new set, then they old set phone( which they sell) will be blocked automatically..
