Hi Maxis
I bought a new Oneplus 5 phone, and have not been able to get 4G+ anywhere (I am in the Klang valley). Another Maxis user has also reported in the Oneplus 5 forum thread that he used to get 4G+ on his Samsung S6 but after switching to Maxis, has not been able to get 4G+. I have the latest SIM network/APN settings, and 4G itself is fine. Can you help?
I have contacted your live chat before, and they told me Maxis does not provide 4G+ service. I am aware that maybe this is still under testing and not official, but still maybe you can assist to help me prepare my phone settings for 4G+? Or is it due to something the telco side is not activating yet? But then other phones can get it...
Thank you.

Maxis Hello, is there anybody listening or monitoring this forum? Users from other telcos are reporting 4G+ on their Oneplus 5, so it is not the phone. After they switch to Maxis, there is never 4G+. Also, one user has tested the same SIM card at the same area using two differnt phones. He gets 4G+ on the other phone, but not with the OP5. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=85934670https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=85909757 Anybody from Maxis can extend some kind assistance to us users?

Hey guys how do you check if the phone itself supports 4g+ or not? I'm aware of not all 4g phones support lte advanced(4g+), so I just wanna know how do I check if my device is compatible with 4g+.....
Btw I have a digi on a note 5 and it's showing 4g+ perfectly at my area. But my maxis with zenfone 2 is just showing 4g only. So I'm guessing it could be the phone problem. But still, I wanna find out how do you know if your 4g device can support or not...

lol i guess aside from speedtest there wouldnt be any other way to tell if the device is lte advanced capable?
btw i just switched my maxis simcard to note 5, surprisingly the network signal is showing 4g only. where as if i use back my digi simcard it will show 4g+
so i guess currently maxis hasn't fully implement lte advanced into their network yet? maybe selected locations only? Im from sarawak kuching here.

QUOTE(hariznordin @ Aug 17 2017, 01:13 PM) Speedtest indicates speeds. If connection is bad, 4G+ speeds may theoretically be lower than say, another network's very good 4G-only connection. I suppose the only way is to confirm the phone's specs. And of course, if you get the 4G+ or LTE-A sign in your notification bar.

QUOTE(Lupine101 @ Aug 17 2017, 09:32 PM) oh crap. mine is the ww version but it doesnt show 4g+ at all.... Supporting both band 3 and band 7 doesn't necessary mean you can get LTE-A, that depends on carrier aggregation, and then it depends on interband and intraband LTE-A support.

Well in layman terms you mean the network provider must have CA too right?
