BDO is famous for doing forensic accounting. they are top dog in this field. They are good at sniffing out the fraud and hanky panky accounting manipulation by company accounting staff.

Usually BDO is hired by HQ if they suspect the local branch play play with accounting figures.

Big 4 or Big 5 in audit is NOT THE SAME as being the largest professional firm in the world. There are so many other professional firm in the world that is NOT in audit/accounting that is bigger than BDO la.

I prefer EY Amoi. Got once an EY Amoi was a former Miss Malaysia contestant.

Of the big 4, KPMG seems to have the worst. Always those bookworm type of Amoi.

PwC & Deloitte mixture. Got good looking ones and also not good looking ones.

Never dealt with BDO before but heard the people who joins them are usually rejects from Big 4.

Anyway, the first thing all auditing newbies must learn is how to use a photocopier and how to deal with paper jams. Be prepared to do lots of photocopying. If you encounter some clients who does not allow photocopying, be prepared to do a lot of copying especially if you're auditing the Co. Sec.
