For those Akatsuki fans, may be you can try to modified your SD instead of waiting for Bandai to produce a SD Akatsuki. Here is the photo grabbed from other forum:

1/60?
Wont it be very big? Modify sure will be hard to do so..... But I am looking forward to have some sifu here to get us to the direction of modifying our model instead of just waiting for Bandai...... Then may be we can duplicate the parts that we have modified..... Like the Akatsuki and Buster that I have shown previously..... Would it be a good idea? Hahahaha....... |

QUOTE(hitsugayat10 @ Apr 19 2007, 03:11 PM) M almost sure coz Keita ( d pro modeller) used 1/60 SF head for his SD but d SD is of course bigger than normal ones la Really nice.....![]() ![]() For more pics on Keita's work, check this site http://f7.aaa.livedoor.jp/~mesarion/gallery2/gallery.htm Just that the first one looks a bit weird as the lower armour part (any term that you guys call that?) looks a bit longer..... But it still very nice...... If only I have the skill, I will....... Hahaha, start dreaming again |

QUOTE(cskeong @ Apr 19 2007, 03:39 PM) i think you're referring to the armor plates around the hip area?yeah it does look kinda long and disproportionate. diy is fun but after a while most ppl would just settle to buy instead of doing the hard work. hope that u guys won't stop once you start haha I wish i can start......But still cant really differentiate all those modify tools that other forumers are using..... So, will need some site that can teach me on using those or show some simple modification on how to duplicate parts using mould (those like plastisin)..... Hope someone can provide me these kinds of link..... This post has been edited by striderozy: Apr 19 2007, 05:08 PM |

Good news to all the BB fans.... They start to take care of our feeling instead of just taking order for MG and HG...... I really appreciate if someone can provide me any link that can teach me how to modify gundam...... I saw one forum that is quite nice..... Can I promote other forum here, mod? Well, there is a guy there starting to modify his gundam to become a SD saviour..... This post has been edited by striderozy: Apr 20 2007, 07:19 PM |

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Apr 23 2007, 09:04 PM) bro, since u have the experience in getting SD from hlj, i have 1 question.. I did order from rainbowten before.....how the count the delivery charges? grouping them or individually charge them? considering in getting some kits from hlj.. I din buy from HLJ before.... I wanna ask about this HLJ as well, coz there are some items that I wanna buy from..... To my understanding is they will group all the things together and charged it and not individually...... May be you should ask them thru email then u can share ur experience here when dealing with them..... I can share mine against rainbowten if u want to know more on that..... |

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Apr 24 2007, 12:26 AM) yeah, interested to know about rainbowten purchasing details also.. I recommend you to try with EMS first.....the price and hlj are quite similar also... as for hlj, never order from them yet but once i get my virtual cc cvc number from the bank, i'll experiment with purchasing some kits from hlj.. i might go with ems though, seem safer and faster than sal yet the price.. well, cant argue much though... Although is more expensive, almost double the price, but it worth the price.... As I mentioned before, I have two shipments which one of them, I tested with SAL, it takes me around 3 weeks to get that and my box all kemek, it becomes a real super 'deformed' gundam...... But EMS is different, more secured and sent in more nice way, all the boxes come in good condition...... And about rainbowten, quite a nice and recommended one, I like to deal with them and all my BB gundam, I take from them mostly..... Just the problem is they dun take in much in SD (which I am more interested in). Normally, they just 1 or 2 units for each model available. And their response is fast. And one more thing is they are more customer orientated...... I never deal with HLJ. And I hope can try to do a few shipments with them since they have some models that I cant find in rainbowten...... But still, I will recommend rainbowten. |

QUOTE(hitsugayat10 @ Apr 24 2007, 07:45 AM) Wow, super kawaii.......especially Sazabi Hi bro, finally you are back into action again.....D infinite Justice is cute too but it's a bit too dependent on SD Justice....Think tat i've seen one tat looked more like the Infinite Justice, using HG 1/144 body, modded head Really respect tat fella who did Gaia, it's pretty hard to mod something from d scratch n it's transformable Btw, does TM still have tat SD Dendrobium? have a feeling like wanna get it..... Presenting Chibi Athrun's personal Mobile Suit.... SD Infinite Justice (D head is not modded accordingly but body's nice ![]() Check this site for more pics http://www.geocities.jp/theotur97/sdjustin.html He use 1/144 HG as frames That is also d guy who scratch build the Gaia as well as d Sazabi...Check his site, tons of modified SDs, he's a half pro judging by his modification compared to Keita http://www.geocities.jp/theotur97/Guidesd.html This guy even modded a Wildgruger (if i'm rite, it's Wild something) from Super Robot Taisen/War Original Generation ![]() Heavily modded Gundam Evolve ![]() ![]() About Gaia...He used HG 1/144 for d body legs n arm parts while d body part looks like Zaku's (Rey n Luna's) This guy really loves SDs... Nice picture you have..... I think we both having the same source of those pictures..... I think the Gaia is the same..... Well, may I know does anyone has link to show me how to copy some model parts? Which material needed? As is quite a waste if I need to buy the whole box just to use the leg part or body part, right? So, it would be nice if we can copy and duplicate those part....... Or may be we can duplicate those and distribute among the forumers...... Would it be a good idea? Like I massive duplicate the leg parts, then hitsugayat duplicate the body parts and so on...... Then we can distribute among ourselves...... Actually I get this idea from those Hong Kong guys.... They seem to be very cooperative..... They will mod the models together and share the progress all the time..... May be we can move forward to this direction in future...... Nice???? |

QUOTE(hitsugayat10 @ Apr 24 2007, 11:15 AM) A said in my previous posting,Gaia n Sazabi's from d same modeller, from Japan as u can c in d website Ya, thats y I am asking does anyone has those kind of link or may youtube video link about teaching us to mould our own part.....Someone from HK might posted tat without mentioning the original modeller... Most of d guys use parts from other kits or u can opt for d normal plastic plates tat some factories r selling....Plastic plates for modelling purposes Bout moulding our own parts n share it huh?good idea but i have no diea on how to mould parts like tat, haha Another modeller's work http://www.kozue-studio.org/sd.html I have a series of pictures on teaching that but is still not so detailed enough (may be I am too noob So, let me know if anyone interested to have a joint co-operation in moulding..... Then we can help each other up....... If just me myself, then I think is not a good idea to mould my own part as moulding for myself only would cost more compared to buy a new box and add on with pla plate...... But I do really hope we can co-work on this and get ourselves involved in this moulding process..... I think is quite fun also...... |

QUOTE(mike_84 @ Apr 24 2007, 05:26 PM) this is the original link, I prefer to get those from rainbowten.....http://z3.invisionfree.com/Zero_G/index.php?showtopic=2273 i think you should be able to get those supplies from hlj. They are more friendly...... I actually have locked down some of those items in rainbowten store list. A reference to those who are interested: 1012010122041,WAVE,,2980yen,OM041 WAVE SILICON RUBBER 1KG 1012010111001,WAVE,,950yen,M-WASH WAX REMOVER 1012010122171,WAVE,,1800yen,OM171 WAX SPRAY 1012010122152,WAVE,,3480yen,OM152 WAVE RESIN CAST EX. IVORY 2Kg But I wonder whether these will pass through our custom? Since I believe those resin cast is in liquid form, and wax spray and remover are in spray can, right? I am afraid custom will treat as a bomb from japan..... Then they will treat me as terrorist..... I dont want my photo to appear in the newspaper as a terrorist...... Anyone buy those online before? Can share ur experience? |

QUOTE(mike_84 @ Apr 24 2007, 06:17 PM) i've bought hobby tools online once from hlj, some liquid solution in bottle. I used SAL, pass thru no problem. Never tried spray cans though. But then this resin cast should be some liquid form in a big bottle, right? And some more got some plastisin-look-alike item..... Quite danger that the shipment might get detained at custom..... Any shop here selling this? Anyone know that? |

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Apr 24 2007, 07:25 PM) bro, why dont u try shipping one item 1st using ems... Because what I want to know the most is the resin cast......just as an experiment to see how it goes... or, u can gamble using SAL... It weight 2kg and it costs +/-3500 yen and the shipping cost should be more than 2000 yen if using SAL. So is like I am using around 5500 yen as experiment..... Man, is too risky..... So, the best way is to ask who ever buy those before? I dont think I am the first one to buy those kits here, right? |

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Apr 24 2007, 09:18 PM) u can try using clay putty 1st for experimentation on reproducing ball joints first.. I would like to try.....at least it can give u a little experience 1st rather than spending a fortune on reproducing parts for ur projects... or, buy those NG 1/144 models which cost as much as normal SD's for parts.. and pla-plates and also, keep those runners, not all la but some for future projects.. But my concern is custom side..... i dont want my shipment being detained by custom..... |
