it's concrete curing process - they release heat which causes the condensation

pus some fans to dry out the place during these 2 days (weekend) and see any difference on monday or not before continue work

damp rising from ground floor slab shouldnt be obvious at this stage and will not cause water droplets to appear on the soffit or ceiling board

Concrete curing "Hydration" is a chemical process which consumes water not produce it..

Quote
Combining water with a cementitious material forms a cement paste by the process of hydration. The cement paste glues the aggregate together, fills voids within it, and makes it flow more freely.[26]
As stated by Abrams' law, a lower water-to-cement ratio yields a stronger, more durable concrete, whereas more water gives a freer-flowing concrete with a higher slump.[27] Impure water used to make concrete can cause problems when setting or in causing premature failure of the structure.[28]
Hydration involves many different reactions, often occurring at the same time. As the reactions proceed, the products of the cement hydration process gradually bond together the individual sand and gravel particles and other components of the concrete to form a solid mass.[29]

Heat doesn't produce water condensation.. Cool does..

i may have been a bit rusty with my concrete knowledge

erm... an easy analogy

put a plate on top of a glass of hot water (like u said, curing concrete release heat)

you will see condensate droplets on the bottom of the plate (the 1st floor slab soffit)

i know it's a bad analogy, but i am also interested in the source of the water droplets on the soffit.  smile.gif

More like how rain clouds are formed?

same principle.. remove the heat from steam you will get water..

Water condensation always forms on cool ambient.. also known as dew point..

Try getting access to a contractor with a thermal imaging camera like a Flir mr176 or a fluke so you can see exactly where the water leak is from.

I've been watching a few YouTube videos on how those equipment are used but have no idea if anyone here has actual experience using one and making sense of the images. So maybe try asking around.

If you goggle Flir thermal camera you can find a rental company so maybe see if they provide a service(maybe a building inspector) to detect the leak/provide a report before then engage a contractor do the pressure injection repair.

Don't forget to check that there is a slope for the water runs to fall

The worse situation there is no slope and discover water ponding

water ponding after torch membrane?

I mean the slope for water on the concrete roof. I have seen completed concrete roof with water ponding issues just because the contractor didn't bother to make sure the roof should slope to fall.

Same thing with some bathroom floors with no slope to the floor trap that you walk into a puddle of water

Better be aware of this to make sure it doesn't become an issue once the works are completed

It is a works quality issue that is some times not done.
I believe most roof should have a 5deg slope to make sure no water ponding issues leading to water leakage into the building later on

Edit* water must drain away from buildings thus no water ponding allowed on a concrete roof or any roof via roof gutters and the like.
Water leaks involving pressurised water piping in concrete can only be solved by eliminating the leak by repairs to the leaking pressure pipe.
