Hi guys.  For those who are unaware....
If you were "forced " to subscribe to bundled-in hypptv package Ruby/Aneka/Varnam last time.... you can ask TM  to change the hypptv package...
I changed mine fr Ruby to Jumbo Lite thru TM live chat.  Took only 2days to change. No extra costs incurred. No effect on Unifi account.
AT least now I can watch something decent on hypptv... 🤗🤗🤗 cheers!
*
Some one previously said there was a one time RM5 charge to change?

Yes... But this is cable. Not sure if it will work with VOIP on our modems rolleyes.gif

The phone you connect to the BTU is old style analog telephone.
The BTU converts analogue sound from your phone to digital and vice versa.

Aih, register again. My 3rd registration for unifi bill account. Lmao
*
Aiyoh! doh.gif
Such a simple matter to transfer database of registered users to new website.
Then no need to re-register again.

Who does TM hire to work in their IT dept.?

i can vouch for cal-lab. previously when im still using streamyx, 8 units of my cal lab arrestor burnt but none of my device spoilt. just follow their wiring diagram guide and you will be fine.  smile.gif

Great product!
Lousy marketing.
Products are hard to find and their website sucks big time.

I'm using Cal-Lab BTW.

You can only get one line waived per account. But now you can convert your existing line into a Unifi VOIP number.
*
So, waiver for fixed line is still available then?
Someone earlier posted that after July no more waiver for fixed line and to save rental charges on existing fixed line number is if you port over to voip service.

Im not sure but my existing business line was automatically ported over to VOIP when I applied for Unifi Biz Lite. Even better, can use back existing line and no need to pay even the RM1 rental fee.
*
huh?
No offense but kinda conflicting statement.

When I subscribed to Unifi Biz Lite package, I mentioned that I want to retain my existing number on the Unifi VOIP line as this is a business line. TM immediately ported over the existing no to the VOIP line once Unifi was installed at my office.
Yes, you can request for this to maintain your existing line if you subscribed to Unifi/ Unifi Lite.
*
Now I understand my confusion...
There is a different meaning when someone say "keeping the line" and "keeping the number"
First one means keeping the copper line service.
The second means porting number over to VOIP

Who knows what they are up to. I am just guessing here...

The current RM129 is for 10M. The promo RM99 is also for 10M but limited to 2 years.

Maybe the current RM129 will be upgraded to 20M over the next year. So there will be a difference already. In 2 years, the RM99 will go back to RM129 and may also be at 20M at that time.  Because they said that eventually over the next 1-2 years, the average speed should be 20M.

This is similar to the 30M to 50M upgrade earlier this year. I think eventually all 30M will be upgraded to 50M over the next 1-2 years. If not the price of RM179 package and RM129 package has too little difference. They also need to adjust prices if there is new 200M and 500M packages later.

So I think over the next 1-2 years, it wil be something like 20M, 50M, 100M, 200M, 500M packages.

Or marketing plans up-ended by what is coming in the next budget?

Well, our PM did propose in budget 2017 to double the speed and halve the cost in two years...
We got double the speed this year, this could be the second half of the promise.
Someone at TM could have jumped the gun and offered the cheaper price before its time.

TRUE!!
Paid RM37+GST for useless APP, without HyppTV STB also.

It's FORCED add-on services that we cannot withdraw at registration...
and that's CALLED UniFi Lite some more, what's its definition then?
*
Can always complain to MyCC
This is obviously against competition.
Subscribers forced to take HyppTV when we might well prefer alternative services.

In South Korea, we only got 2 plan 50Mbps, 20k KRW or 100Mbps, 30k KRW (which around 5 meals for 1 month fiber internet access, and no contract)
and we don't complaint much regarding unstable internet speed or poor latency, although we ONLY manage get around 20-30Mbps. (seem oversold without PORTS controlled)
*
That"s RM75 for 50Mbps and RM112 for 100Mbps!!!
At that price I don"t think anyone in Malaysia will complain about getting 20-30Mbps speed.

that"s RM75 for 50Mbps and RM112 for 100Mbps

Most keep old land line because over the years (decades) given number out to so many people that we need to keep the line just for maintaining the number so that we can be contacted.

Lfmao, everythings called Unifi.... (it's all different technologies with differences package prices.)
later Webe going rebranding to Unifi also...

Then when we call 100 or walk-in TMpoint for inquiries or complaints, kept tell the staffs UNIFI.... in the end, staffs get confused and we also confused too....
(maybe their systems still not integrated yet, busy keep looking for either streamyx, unifi or webe... and maybe celcom soon)

bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif  bangwall.gif hahaha, just saying...

I read Webe is going to be called Unifi LTE.
Now you can ask for Uniri LTE or Unifi Lire and thoroughly confuse the CS devil.gif

haha, 1 of reasons why malaysia ISPs so expensive maybe is branding and trademarks.
Perhaps TM already aware that and trying to merging into 1 brand for cost-saving...

but I think there should separate differences category and let's users to choose as Add-on services instead of useless BUNDLES.

HyppTV                  = UniFi@TV
Streamyx              = UniFi
UniFi VIP                = UniFi X
TM Wifi                  = UniFi@WiFi
Webe (**Celcom)  = UniFi 4G
TM Biz                  = UniFi SME

Just my thoughts...
*
Thank goodness TM discontinued dial-up service or we'll have to contend with Dialup@Unifi tongue.gif
