QUOTE(alien3d @ Oct 15 2017, 09:10 AM) 5m ? I think port full .. 8 house per port.My Road only have one white box.. impossible to said 5M. Wah like this need to be like Hawkeye. Once see TM upgrade the telephone line must straight away go to apply unifi. Otherwise if port full don't know need to wait how many years again.Yeah 8 port per around 30 house per road.. Who first got it. |

QUOTE(Ckmwpy0370 @ Oct 16 2017, 09:50 AM) yeap, normal procedures. These days almost everyone need a fast and not metered internet. I believe more people want to get unifi than the number of port available. My streamyx upload only 512kbps, it's like back to dial up time when want to upload backup. My area have unifi infra in place during the property construction. Therefore it is good as unifi available after the VP and consider my area is full fiber infra. no need to beg on TM site again to pull infra Before this, i have been using streaymx all the while via copper for couple years then upgraded to unifi from 30mbps to 50mbps (FOC upgraded) due to demand needed on SmartTV streaming, and some work research and more devices connected. During the Fiber activation process, I was with TM Technician, we noticed that the fiber nodes which have 7 nodes only were fully occupied . After we further checking, one nodes was terminated and not in used. OCH ! what was a lucky day, otherwise my Unifi will be in waiting list. |

QUOTE(Ckmwpy0370 @ Oct 17 2017, 09:16 AM) Initially, i though each node in Fiber Junction box would have connection provision goes directly to individual residences or house unit accordingly with "best effort" method as majority household unit needs internet nowadays. Ya maybe to save cost since they don't know how many household will subscribe to unifi once they make it available. But they should have add additional port once it is full, otherwise will only make more people unhappy with their service. After checking with TM Technician on the Fiber Junction Box, it was limited to 7 nodes (my area). then i realise that it was subject to "first come first serve" basic. I think TM needs to save cost. that is is the sad part on this kind of infra in place, cannot cater of Internet Demand in future Anyway, this is TM monopoly, No choice, we have to accept it. Sigh |

QUOTE(askm @ Oct 23 2017, 03:21 PM) For new subscribers & non contract, yes. Of course the package is for new subscribers or streamyx subscribers, and also make it so no worth the hassle for existing subscribers. For those existing (still under lite contract), no much differ in amount need to pay total period of contract and penalty. And also, Need to take the risk of loss your port if terminate and re-apply. Just gain the new equipment with warranty. |

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Oct 25 2017, 02:54 PM) Maybe due to the political reasoning. Most likely. They're the wakil there so must show that they got bring improvement there.Good example will be Jeli in Kelantan and Hutan Melintang in Perak. Jeli, Kelantan - Mustapa Mohamed & Hutan Melintang, Perak - Zahid Hamidi. Both of the politicians are considered 'berpengaruh' in Malaysia I also wondered what's so special about those two places that TM decided to install Unifi via fibre there. QUOTE(borgyang @ Nov 1 2017, 08:12 AM) Hi all, TM say they going to on hold the RM99 package, but never state until when. So nobody know should you change or wait, except tm people.Anyone know about this? Please suggest whether I should change from VIP10 RM149/month to Unifi Lite RM129/month. Maybe go to tm point and ask you heard about the RM99 promo. Maybe the staff there can subscribe to the said plan. |

QUOTE(Keatsan @ Nov 2 2017, 10:30 AM) Somehow deep inside in, I got a feeling that there's new price/speed upgrade coming with all these new adjustments. Most likely after few months they'll announce that these promo price will become the normal price. I don't think they'll lower the price some more, unless their infrastructure upgraded to higher speed like 200MB or 500MB.I would HOLD this promotion first. After decades of being TM customer, I notice they they'll have sub RM100 package which is like the bare minimum. And sub RM150 for the masses while around RM200 for those that want the fastest speed available. Now I think TM regard 10MB and below as the bare minimum. This promo is not even announced, only TM agent can help to get it. I think if you feel the price is right better take it first. Otherwise who know have to wait for how long again. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Nov 2 2017, 03:49 PM) No idea. But it should be under the first round of speed upgrade (Budget 2017). TM just started to upgrade their "Pre-Unifi" customers. You should get it too, just a matter of time. Budget 2017 for streamyx is only webe offer and discount RM10. No speed upgrade.Maybe tm receive too many backlash for their decision on streamyx subscribers, they now decide to give free upgrade. |
