cech i will go for... his save was really SUPERB.. his reflextion is really really fast... the only weakness i can see is .. his penalty saving is not that good.. thats the only weakness.. others than that.. he is really simply brilliant

the latest goal keeper that show great perfomance is pape reina,
what a world class he made when saved two penalty shout out againts chelsea in semifinal.. tongue.gif
*
Reina came to Liverpool with a reputation for saving penalties with Villareal. Since then he's enhanced his reputation against West Ham and now Chelsea. He's broken Ray Clemence's record of reaching 55 clean sheets in 100 games for the club. He won the 'Golden Gloves' award last season with 20 clean sheets, ahead of VDS and Cech. This season, he's so far kept the most clean sheets as well. Some people have chosen to remember his for his errors but the stats above says it all really. Pepe is a class keeper with a great future.

reina? yup, did some school boy erros during his first few seasons.

but after that he has adapted to life here and looks pretty convincing and darn good at saving penalties

If Buffon isn't World Class, which current keeper do you reckon is?
*
reasons why buffon isnt world class

1) no one watches serie A
2) he makes too little saves in comparison to cassilas or casillas or whatever his damned name is
3) not spectacular enough
4) dammit he plays for italy, they barely let teams have a shot, let alone having buffon save them

Best reason ever! How old are you again?

He's not even your best keeper ever. That distinction goes to Peter Schmeichel, and I'm sure most Man Utd fans will not disagree with that. You obviously aren't old enough to have seen the great Dane in goal.

bahahahaha. there's some truths there anyway. i bet most of the people here hav only get to watch the likes of Gigi n Casillas (its 1 's' n 2 'l' there kobe biggrin.gif ) in action during WC or Euro, which may only consist of 3 or 4 matches.

there even some ridiculous comment abt Gigi can't save penalty. where were they when Gigi made all those saves ? rolleyes.gif

Well Ben Foster, Paddy Kenny, Scott Carson, Chris Kirkland, John Filan, Roy Carrol, Robert Green and Anti Niemi have all been more busy than Petr Cech or Edwin Van Der Sar, does that make them better? tongue.gif

WRONG!!!

Kirkland and Carroll have been injured or on the bench tongue.gif

Foster? Isn't that why he has been said to have a stunning season making all those saves?

And when he was signed, they said he had a great penalty saving record brows.gif

Seriously; potential doesn't mean much. People like Richard Wright, Danny Cardamarteri and Francis Jeffers will testify to that. And apparently; these guys are all everton-growned as well; if I'm not mistaken.
