Anyone knows if the sheltered walkways @ SS15 lrt (or any lrt station with similar setup) is safe to park at during daytime?

Will get into problem with local council?

Will need to visit Midvalley quite often soon and I know the motorcycle parking there is shit, so I am exploring park and ride options at the moment.

Why is midvalley bike parking bad? Parked there a few times. got gate and parking attendant. Parked there overnight before.

Finding the entrance is not easy if you havn't been there before. the entry point is not well marked. Its just below cititel hotel.

Just from what I've seen on YouTube, it looks worn down and cramped, not sure if it's any different these days. I normally avoid parking my bike among sea of kapchais, because kapchai riders don't give a shit about other bikes, I got a couple of paint chips on my bike last time I parked at another mall's parking, and mirrors often being out of position since people squeeze past bikes to reach their bike.

Not trying to be snobbish here but also the demographics of the riders matter a lot, if you park in a parking filled with educated office workers it's most likely better than a large mall where the visitors are of mixed profiles.

In fact in this thread itself Midvalley hasn't got the best of reviews:

I tried parking at midvalley bike parking before.  At one time I was "stuck".  Couldn't maneuver out as I have two side boxes.

So whenever I go to MV, I will just park outside of the bike parking, right before the palang.  and give the jaga a few ringgit.

I almost got stuck in one utama before at the new wing bike parking.  Had to gostan all the way out.

Believe you, one time managed to squeeze my BMW RT with 2 panniers in the basement parking after moving a few other kapchais.. lesson learned never bring the big bike into mall parking

Or if you must in Midvalley.. find the Midvalley Pondok polis (next to Maybank), in front got a bikes parking covered with plant pots and a chain at the entrance.. you can enter there to park your bike for a while ..

Maybe I should get a cheap kapchai just so I can have some peace of mind parking my bike at lrt station.

its been quite a few years since i parked in MV... but back then they do have 2 motorcycle parking areas...1 on each end... when u come in....skip the first one... that one is super cramped and super full most of the time... u have to go pass it... through the loading bays and ull reach the other parking... this one is more.......civil. and empty. used to have enough space for big bikes to park senget oso. not sure what its like now though.

id give a ride to MV once just to find the 2nd parking lot n see what its like. id personally feel better parking there rather than risking my brakes at an lrt station.

Thanks, I believe you are referring to the one here. It does look quite a bit emptier in this video.

I will give that a shot and see how it goes...
