Hi there, for begineer to get a camera I think no need to get those like RM 3K - RM 4K SLR and stuffs...

And also no point getting those small tiny camera too...

I also begineer when I bought mine...Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ30 and I'm going to let it go if you interested. Condition is Superb and I seldom using it and you can always try it out and view at it...I'm sure you like it rclxms.gif

What makes a great camera

I found this more than useful. Take a read and ignore it if u think its all blabber. I bought a Canon A530 based on his recommendation and LOVED it. Much more than any other (much more expensive) cameras i've tried (Sony, Nikon, Olympus, Kodak) (NOT dSLRs).

extra note: try them all and buy the 1 u love most. easy eh?

no way dude.

cameras like your FZ-30 is rather bulky.

P&S (your tiny camera) models has its merits. they're compact for a purpose and they're not without the ability to snap good pictures.

it really depends on the purpose.

to me, buying a camera depends on
1. usage - what do you intend to use it for.
2. budget - what's your budget as this is the factor that narrows your choices
3. comfort - how it feels in your hands and how you feel using the interface

notice i didn't mention megapixels, simply because megapixels just defines the max size of the image captured.

generally you'll want to compare the above 3 along with the megapixel factor but IMO megapixel should never be considered as a primary factor. personally i find the above 3 factors are more important.

heck i've come by many people who purposely set their cameras to shoot at lower MPs. 6MP users setting it to 2MP. 3MP users set them to 1MP despite having plenty of memory space.

The single most important feature is able to take picture indoor.
The only camera can take indoor photo well is dSLR and also Fuji F31fd. Nothing else can do it better than them.

uhuh. and yet earlier you tell people no point getting tiny small camera? with sentence phrased in such as way as if P&S are a waste of money. smile.gif

sorry la. not that i want to pick an argument with you but it's just that the content of your first post was without solid reason while the 2nd one contradicts the first one.

btw you can sell your stuff at Garage Sale. smile.gif
