No need to worry, turbo has been use on big trucks for a long long time and can last for millions of miles. But then you will have to factor in the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) between of petrol and diesel. Petrol turbo is more prone to failure due to the higher EGT from petrol combustion. Diesel has much lower EGT.
