I'd always take Bosch over Electrolux

Washer / dryer combo normally more problematic than the individual ones

By brand both are good.

By performance and tech look for the newer version...

Heard that there is class action lawsuit that has been settled now on the dryer which can cause fire hazard

https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlem...ion-settlement/

I guess the new design may have taking care of this. Not sure about Bosch, but the Lux one is using inverter, which is very good. Well, unlike Bosch, Electrolux group produces many brands. Bosch, household product is only one of many product divisions, I believe, but very good in product engineering. Had a Bosch washer before and very reliable. Electrolux, reliability, I would say more into average based on my washer/dryer experience. The condensing dryer is good. It dries to a point that is suitable for ironing.

I think I would still go for Electrolux but I think Bosch has better energy efficiency in general. Compare this if this is top of the list

Review for Electrolux website seems very good by the owner. Only thing it does not have a self cleaning condenser technology like Bosch. So have to take out to clean manually.

Wow thanks for the info. Now I scared to buy the dryer. Really if can cause fire.

Any reason why you still go for Electrolux in spite of the lawsuit?

That covers for model until 2011. I think the new design should has solved the problem. I may have missed the drying method used by Bosch but the condensation method in Elextrolux requires no ventilation. I have used Elextrolux Washer/Dryer combination before. Other than water outlet, no other hose required smile.gif However the electronics control board failed once and the motor brush carbon also needed replacement after few years. Inverter will not have this problem too soon.

I believe all brands have problems happened during companies history period laugh.gif

Open from front is better. Gentler on clothes, can wash with warm water more effective, generally use less water than top load types.

Cons is more expensive, but if you can afford it, you'll never regret. I see recently Best Denki got offer LG 8kg front load for RM2k, pretty good offer I say.

generally ppl say front load washes better
but top load is more versatile; incase takde air paip, can still add water from baldi from top. or forgot to add in spender coli etc, can open the lid & toss inside

Beko is famous brand in Europe, not sure their after sales presence here.

Try scout around best all shops, best denki, onking, harvey norman, tbm, etc. Usually not hard to find Bosch, Samsung, LG, Panasonic offer for around rm1.6k+- for 7kg.

Personally, i find topup to rm2k for 8kg LG is worth it.

Top load and front load weight rating doesn't seem to use same standard.

I read somewhere last time, an smaller rated front load can fit in more than bigger rated top load. So comparing capacity between front and top load not so straight forward, but yea, even so, front load still costs more.

My family used to use front load, then last time when the old one kaput, switched to top load. Regretted it, it felt really wasteful to save few hundred, stuck with tak syok feeling for years until today.

Now praying for the top load to kaput so can get excuse to buy front load lol.
