Famous Sze Ngan Chye roast duck at Chinatown (Petaling Street) has another outlet at Kepong.
Is the roast duck at Kepong outlet equally as good or not as good as Chinatown? Heard some say the Kepong roast duck not as good

Tell me which roast duck is better and I will go try it.
So far, I have tasted most of the so called "best roast duck" in KL and none can fight with Sze Ngan Chye (SNC). SNC is #1 rclxms.gif

saw this and i already dun bother d.
way more gooding roast ducks & roast goose joints (u din know KL got some dmn 7 gooding roast goose can fight with HK Yung Kee Siu Ngor right)

SNC is dry AF.. just a normal roast duck that u can find at pasar pagi or those afternoon vans.

lol do you know what you talking about? I tried most of roast goose around Pudu. Chen Chen has an unfresh taste and pretty bland cos of thick meat like eating big slabs of fillet meat. Probably poor seasoning or not seasoned long enough. The other one Siew Ngap Fai similar. The other one right at end of Lorong Yap Hin in a shed also poor. Only one acceptable is Wei Kee . Probably cos meat is thin so seasons through and more tasty
So which roast goose you say is so damn gooding ? Show me the joints

you know what you talking about or you ate the wrong duck? lol
SNC is not tough. In fact, it is very tender and succulent. They do give 2 types of gravy- one has strong herbal which must be dipped with the duck . Other is sweet dark gravy. Nice texture, clean taste with charcoal aroma. Even though meat is thick, the inner parts are tasty and it oozes with duck fat/oil which demonstrates their skill in salt seasoning.
Most other roast duck (typical HK style) are bland, dry, tough and you need to dip with lots of gravy.
Even the French will love this dish not only because of the duck fat/oil which is a sort of delicacy in the culinary world these days.
