I see... So far only notice that lavacore have noticeable microfleece within (price abt 2xx), another other model that I should explore too?
*
Lavacore thin rashguard got "fleece" inside but i think will be similar with other rashguards. If u looking for thicker ones than its expensive.

OMG that bouyancy!!!  blink.gif when can i do half of that  laugh.gif

btw can anyone explain how he deploy the sausage? he blow air using mouth?

*
Yes he use air from his mouth. But If you do it from 5m you need to blow maybe 2 times. This is a demonstration only. I doubt he blew the sausage till it is "hard" on the surface.

ok cool.... any idea wat time is the last speed boat departing from Aking Jetty?
*
You are talking about Tenggol right? You need to book with the resorts there first. It's not like Tioman/Redang/Perhentian. Ferry transfer is by the resort itself. Whole island only has 3 resorts.

Newbie here. Just about to start my OWD lesson.
Want to look for my wetsuit, is bare, mare, Scuba pro or waterproof a good one to have? I cannot stand cold..
also wan to know how can we practice those skill at pool?
*
Can get anyone that you feel is stylish and within your budget. They are somewhat similar. Just make sure its 3mm thick.

You practice skills in pool with your instructor during your open water course. He will guide you on multiple skills to do and complete. Of course the pool will be at least 2 meters at the deepest end.

Which dive center you are taking your course with? Going to which island? Have fun and enjoy the course!

any dive center around kl to do so? i actually want to do that as well and idea how much will it cost?
coz i saw some offer test diving for as low as rm50. if the price is reasonable, good to do so?

i feel like hard to practice skill via fun dive as u only get like 30-40min underwater and you cant like really stay at one point to practice skill and you need to follow they DM/group as the move along
*
Most centers with a pool will let you rent tank and equipment to practice but some only allow you to do so with a buddy. Cost about RM80 - 100+ i think with equipment.

I am going to Lang tengah. Take up course with Long Adventure.

Maybe will try to book for practice session with SA aquatic pool for extra lesson. To experience more underwater feel. Very new in this.

Btw, which center offer free diving? Is it better for a scuba diver to practice freediving skill?
*
If not certified yet a bit susah. Can ask LA to give you more pool session in Klang.
LA also got freediving. Not so much beneficial to diving but nice for snorkelling trips. Its interesting to learn.

You sure you want to spend 1k++ for a wetsuit?

Hi guys, let me ask you something. I have a sport camera eken H9R, when I brought it to a dive, about 10m, it automatically shuts down. Do you think my camera cannot withstand the pressure? Does cheap sport cams behave like that?
*
Cheap camera without UW casing will flood at certain depth. Even Olympus TG5 depth range without casing is 15m only.

Hunting for fin and dive computer, what are the few point I need to consider whn buy the fin?
*
Comfort, price, your legs muscles.
Oh fin size is also important because if you travel your bag needs to fit the fins

Any specific criteria like design tat I should take note for fin? Saw got many diff design.
Any mares or sunnto dive computer recommends for beginner?
*
There are open heel and full foot fins. Open heel you need booties which makes walking on the beach easier when you do shore diving. Full foot fins need to properly fit or you will get blisters.
Than there are power fins, split fins and normal fins. Power fins not so suitable for beginners as they require leg muscles. Split fins I dont see many using them anymore. Normal fins there are many different type. Pick one that is within your budget and that you like.
Mares you can go for puck pro or if got budget the smart.
Suunto beginner level is zoop. Next level D4i novo priced around 2k. But if you have the budget why not.

but with the stainless steel plate, u dont have to carry anymore weight dy isnt it
saw diver den currently selling dive rite travelpac bcd t4000 for rm1950, stated there retail price is RM3164.60
is it really a big cut down price or actually is around 2k pricing?

this bcd suit for only with carry weight no more than 5kg, which currently im using 3kg with 3mm suit, if in future i gain more weight then gg  biggrin.gif
*
I dont need to carry more weight when diving but to travel its heavier than normal gear.
I think 2k is an okay price. I cant remember who is the distributor for Dive Rite in Malaysia. Maybe can get similar or cheaper price.

There should be different lift category wings (the doughnut) for this bcd model. Can ask and see.

i see btw i found one that charge rm130 with equipment rental and instructor for 2 hours by Dive Buddy shah alam  blink.gif
any comment on that? coz rm130 abit too low i dont mind pay a little more if is better

btw KiraTomaru u been to dive buddy before rite? i asked them about pool dive and they charge rm130, hows the services and instructor ?
*
You need to ask them if the price includes what you want to do with the instructor. Maybe the instructor just stand on the surface monitor you.

QUOTE(wKkaY @ Jun 8 2018, 12:49 PM)
Not a fan of the zeagle scout. Its air bladder doesn't extend far down enough to promote horizontal trim.

EvanSoon have you had issues with static trim in the scout compared to your oxycheq?
*
I haven't gotten the chance to have a proper fun dive with my Zeagle yet. The last time I used it I didn't like the amount of lift it had. Not enough for me to carry sufficient spare weights for students. But overall feeling for horizontal trim although I had more weights in my pockets is not as nice as Oxycheq. I love my Oxycheq more other than the travelling part.
