I would be concern if the handphone shuts down well before it reaches 0%. I would also send it to SC if the unit still under warranty.

Clear the handphone cache by. and/or update all apps if available.

1) Switch off and on again.
2) Soft reset. Procedure depending on iphone model. Google it.
3) Full backup with iTunes (Use password).
4) Full reset as a new phone.
5) reinstall back using iTunes, download latest versions of apps.

Definitely. BTW my 2 year old is at 86%, only realised it when I prepped it to give to my son. I totally forgotten about the battery replacement program. Anyway, son is not complaining so thats good.

Yup, he seems to be soo. Initially, it was suppose to go to my wife. She used it for a full day then reverted back to her old ip6+. So next in line was my son. So coming from a J3pro Samsung, a huge upgrade .

this is interesting. 1st time heard of this issue. What else is wierd apart from photos cant be deleted? Please provide more details. When you mention that the deleted photos appear again, where does it appear?(which folder exactly)

In this case I would try soft reset. If still the same, then a full backup (with password) in iTunes, then I full factory reset the phone. Then on the phone as new phone. Test the pictures and see whether the issue is still persist. If normal. Then do a full resporation using iTunes with the previously saved (password) backup.

Well if the phone performance is enough for your needs, might as well keep using it.

Test it thoroughly before you commit. Look at the battery health, test with your sim card you plan to use with it. Google how to purchase a used iPhone, it shows the steps for you to check to ensure you dont get any issues in future.

I also do not plan to replace my 2 year old ip7 which I have handed down to my son. So far he is loving it coming from ip6. A battery change will be definite, its a matter of when. Most probably I will get it changed soon enough.

What year is your unit? Although you recently bought it from Maxis, it may be a old stock. That may be he reason the battery is failing.

Cross reference your iphones serial number with the image below to learn when the unit was manufactured. Serial no is in settings>about>Serial no.

It may or may not fail due to the battery haven't been used for a long time. Its like those normal AAA, AA, etc l batteries that sells at supermarkets, they also have shelf life. If unused for a certain period, the chemicals in them degrade thus lost of performance. I remember shopping for a phone for my no 3 child. He wanted an iphone and I found an new old stock iphone 5S at a digi counter in Ampang. It was an unopened new unit but according to the seller, it was like 2 years sitting in the shelve. Anyway, he opened the box and tried to charge it, for almost 10 minutes plugged in nothing was happening to the phone. Then the apple logo came out, it was charging. I paid RM1.2k for that phone and I do remember that the battery didint last long. I had to change to another battery after about a year of usage. The last few months, my child kept complaining that it lost power too quickly than normal.

Honestly I don't have any clue. But since you bought it new, the warranty would cover a failing battery. Have you check the 'Battery Performance %? I am sure the SC have equipment to check the physical performance of your battery.

Does the phone gets hotter (when background apps running) than when its charging? Heat is energy, the more more it produces the more energy it gives out. There would be some cause for concern. Some apps do make the hp hotter than usual, those high intense graphic games are such examples, non-the less if it runs hot even in standby mode, it should be checked by a technician ASAP IMO.

Emmm, on mine, I only feel phone getting warm when I play high grapics games, on the phone on long periods, surfing the net (YT especially) for long durations. Short durations, like normal. BTW I am using Spigen Crystal hybrid case. I do use camera, but I have yet to encounter it to be running hotter than the norm.

Best get it checked by authorised service centre ASAP bro, it may be nothing but to be safe.

I would imagine, if it is a module that can be replaced, that would be just getting the right module. If it were something on the mainboard, then it might be costly. I have changed the charging module before and thats just like replacing the damaged charging socket thingy with a couple of screws.

That reminds me to do a backup now....

Indeed, have to make it a habit. Its when shit happens that you really need a recent backup. Hate having regrets.

Most often, its the battery issue. Get that checked first.
