David Fincher's Se7en (1995), old, but way better than all Saw films

Ah yes this movie is definitely one of my favourates, and near the ending part where keving spacey was explaining about "Envy" was just beautiful.

Just for clarification, did the term John Doe originate from this movie? Or it's just coincidence?

BTW, actually it's kinda hard to compare Se7en with Saw, but no more comparing right? By itself, Se7en is definately one of my favourite crime/thriller movies, alongside Usual Suspects(got K.Spacey as well) thumbup.gif

Nah I'm sure the John Doe term existed long before the film.

i guessed that se7en has its moments...and so does saw (the first one only!)...but se7en was filmed and scripted well, while saw is more of a shocker...but then again, saw 2 and 3 just spoiled the entire franchise...sigh...

Se7en, the movie who made me mentally numb after watching it.

i am sure 20 years later, people will still talk about it.

I am actually wondering, with all the talk of mind-f*** movies. No love for Memento? Christopher Nolan?

Excellent movie, but im not sure how that compares to Saw and Se7en's genre.

Not that i'll put both that movies in the same boat.

seven is a detective movie and saw is a slasher movie. I think both movies are great on its own. However, since these movies belong to different genre, it is quite hard to compare as both movies attract different crowd.

For those who prefer storyline over gore, seven is good for them. As for those prefer gore over storyline, then saw is a good movie.
