benq if you want a va panel. better blacks. no ips glow but slower response.

actually, i have a benq va. pretty satisfied.

the asus is 27", although only 1080p, and ah-ips, the best ips there is.

hdmi to dvi cable/dongle exist, you just lose audio. lossless signal.
however the slim doesn't have optical out. so you need an audio extractor anyway.

if you buy the dell like the other guy suggested, you can use its audio line out for external speakers.
