there are ppl out there who need to feed 6 kids with 900 bucks monthly salary

quite honestly, your lifestyle will grow to fill whatever income you get

some ppl are earning 20k and they complain it's not enough. but there are also hardcore poor who managed with sub 1k

now to answer your question - the ideal salary is the highest u can get at the moment. forget 'i can't survive with low salary' or 'i have 5 cats at home to feed'. employers have no interest in giving u more money to make u happy.

When you ask the wrong question, you will get the wrong answer.

The ideal question is, what is the market demand (implying market-driven salary) for the position I am working at "now"?

ideal starting salary more important or ideal career advancement more important?

back to times for my first job in a MNC, year 2011~12, my starting pay is 1800 as i am holding Diploma, those enter same time with me which holding degree get 2800.

within 3 years my salary jump from 1800 to 4250, which depends on effort and hardwork
those enter with 2800, is either getting 3700 or same 4250
