since noise is a modern nuisance, what is the best way to sound proof the bedroom?
pro or DIY methods

DIY: use used egg cartoons on the walls.

Egg cartons for acoustic treatment...I think if you got thick mattress can put against wall baru soundproof...

To soundproof your room, you need to seal all opening.

Close every hole so sound cant go out or come in

Double wall with minimun 6" air gap. Double glaze windows & door.

Instead of soundproof whole room...che@per solution is to create DIY soundproof pods for sleep or work....

Need at least 20cm thick fully sealed enclosure with suitable plywood

i use this foam too, but in order for it not to disintegrate into smaller pieces due to whatever reasons, i wrapped it in very nice looking wrapping paper that made it look like art on the wall.

i think you should be able to find those carpet like sound absorbing material online... effective and cheap... iirc 1m x 1m is usd0.99
