Informed by my SA that, 5 years warranty may void if my Vios is not sent for servicing, follow date or mileage (whenever come first).

mean if service date come first, but my mileage only 2000km, also have to sent for servicing.

Are you guys follow date or mileage normally? coz I only drive my car during weekend which my mileage will be very low.

How u guys think? Should I follow date instead of milleage? very costly for servicing in twice a year. Thanks.

Usually you guys opt for semi or fully? If semi <10k is fine. Won't be that clean also.

Oh yeah. Please ask for ECU update for your Vios DVVTi CVT (2017+) from 0000 to 0020. Brand new car.

Don't be a slave to the SC requests. Most of the things beyond the service routine is optional (sometimes redundant also) including A/C servicing.
You can opt to do it outside no harm there.

A supposed ECU update to mimic the same throttle response as new Vios/Yaris.
Can try other SC as it's not a centralised issue. Better go to a bigger SC. Only higher pangkat technies are able to do such operations.

my SA [balakong] "says" toyota has tightened warranty claims process, if your mileage/time for service late, may result in voiding warranty. to keep warranty gotta buy the prepaid maintenance package. i look at him as if he was spewing BS outta his mouth, trying to hard sell the maintenance package.

any1 going for service pls reconfirm if the above is true as it affects all old cars and new even though they only start this policy now. means if 1 year ago u were late for service exp 33k for 30k, and next 43k, means your warranty also gone case, even though is was in the past

Saw 2x cars with rear fog lights on today, while the dark sky is clear, no rain.. It is quite irritating to many road users with superb transmitted lights, glaring and striking .. In some first world countries aka developed countries, misuse of fog light is an offence in their legislation..

Utilise fog lights when you can't really see the road during sudden heavy rains, burning forest, haze or emergency case..
For heavy rain, usually stop at designated safe place, wait for rain to cool down, before you continuing the journey.

My Bluetooth and HU are always paired, when I turn ON / start my car..  Enjoying Spotify app and song..  Perhaps reset your HU to factory reset and re configure all the pairing..

If you are wearing mi band 3 or 4, or other health monitor device on yr hand. . Make sure these devices far from HU.. Beginning use to that I  cannot pair Bluetooth, as my Huawei phone and mi band 4 always paired most of the time.

Still can feel the heat in the afternoon..

Most peripheral devices, handphone and car head unit (HU) got factory setting, Reset to default setting.. Ground zero.. In the setting tab/menu. You can do it yourself(DIY)..

If otherwise, go to service center and get service advisor 's help. My car HU Bluetooth paired to 2x  different handphone,providing 1x phone Bluetooth turn on at one time..
Can play and listening to Spotify, YouTube, joox .. Etc

Yes. You can change anytime. I have done that before.
I book 1st than cancel the early appointment.

You may try get ur SA cell phone no if she or he willing to give.. U can personally contact them to make the arrangement. Everytime now I just look for my SA only to book for service. Hehe..

Hi Guys, it a better to op for rear camera for Rm350? or self install ourselves from 3rd party camera like mi cam?

Car year Sept 2016 - Dec 2018, dashcam camera is optional. Front oem from toyota cost 600, but good clear image in mpeg4 file format. No rear dashcam, unless you have it install outside accessories shop.

Car year 2019 included front dashcam camera only. If you want to install optional rear dashcam camera, b4 register new car, pay Toyota and oem camera cost 350. Else get it from accessories shop outside.

Last time, driving old car, motorcycle turn left or right lanes, and my old car struck jackpot, bang  car from behind.. During police investigation, final report result sided motorcyclist, claimed that your car did not turn on signal.. No point on arguing with officer.. No choice, burn insurance NCD.

If you got rear dashcam camera, all footages will be recorded..
Even you TURN ON car left/right signal "tick tok tick tuck" sound will be recorded.. No argument on car driver did not turn up signals.

If police traffic officer sided other parties in his final report and becos of ABANG ADIK blood relationship.. Send Yr video to higher officer or make official complaint police dept to prove evidence of the chnorology events prior to road accident.
To prove Yr innocent and not burn car ncd insurance.

Dashcam camera is an important evidence.. Nowadays did you notice that many ppls driving or motorcyclists riding in idiots behaviour?  Saw many drove through yellow lights or worse, pass thru red light.

Not to mention driver tailgater in normal road, not highway..
Install rear dashcam camera and you will understand what I m trying to elaborate on..

The service sticker shows that 1st service is 1000Km or 1 month whichever come first. However, I will have some outstation travelling this month and my car will be underutilized. Do I still need to go for servicing even my mileage is still far from 1000Km after a month? Thanks

Have been driving my vios for like 2.5 years, my battery is not maintenance free type, never once add "water" before in the battery, but done my maintenance following the schedule, do they actually help to check & add water to the battery?
