QUOTE(nagasaran @ Mar 27 2019, 12:52 PM)
I have lodged a complaint to the UMW, let's pray ahrd for me!

Owner Car- Toyota Vios 2019 Variant G
Vehicle taken- 2 March 2019

My vehicle developed serious fault. I had a dead pixel on my camera recorder's display. Today 27 March 2019, I sent my car for the very first service at Toyota Cheras Service Centre.

After the investigation, I was told that it was an accidentally drive-out the camera recorder. Yet I had done nothing on it as the car was just new and drove only 823 in 27 days. Then, the officer throws his hands up and says they can do nothing. STATUS- need to confirm with supplier suspect external cause during install tinted.

I'm felt that wasting time and money and not get any service when needed. I’m unsatisfied. Any idea about this case?

I have done my first service oredi. Possible i travel to other sc?Goona to try that
*
If can't wait you may visit to next SC to do it.
Else do it on your 2nd service in a different SC
Sometimes it is the certain SC that doesn't want to help us
SOme SC will help and some wont. Don't know why but it's like tat for most car SC i know of in Malaysia. be it proton (previous eon and proton)

Hi guys. First time car owner here. Thinking of getting the 2019 Vios but have a hard time deciding between mid-range and top specs model. Also, is white colour tough to maintain? Based on experience, white vs silver which would you recommend?
*
silver last longer. white needs care.
E specs is sufficient.
G specs has extras like rear disc and leather feel

Pretty sure you'd just have to pry it with your bare hands. If not, cover a plastic squeegee/expired card with a cloth and pop it out. It's held by double sided-tape.
Projector?
You can try Osram Nightbreaker halogens. But there's 4300K LEDs that's like OEM HIDs in colour output. Great for my reflectors during dry/wet driving.
Also, those who owns 2017+ Vios with Dual VVTI + CVT can try to update your ECU.
It will be exactly the same as the new Vios/Yaris in terms of throttle response.
Who's going to the service center soon? Can try to ask. It's free I've heard.  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

thanks. will try ask when i do my next service in June.

Any recommendation for Vios 2018 brake pad? Prefer last long and good. not really in sport mode during driving.

Or replace back with original Toyota brake pad? seems expensive?

Thanks.

QUOTE(yonghong @ Jun 10 2019, 10:24 AM)
Dear all,

Informed by my SA that, 5 years warranty may void if my Vios is not sent for servicing, follow date or mileage (whenever come first).

mean if service date come first, but my mileage only 2000km, also have to sent for servicing.

Are you guys follow date or mileage normally? coz I only drive my car during weekend which my mileage will be very low.

How u guys think? Should I follow date instead of milleage? very costly for servicing in twice a year. Thanks.
*
Yes. best is whichever comes first.
you can see some engines are still in great conditions even after 1 million odo travelled

Your speedo might be slightly affected. Not wise to go beyond the 4% rule. Your fenders might kena also if fully tilted to the left/right.

195/55/R15 is the best compromise between comfort and stability.
I've changed to Kakimotor Zerone Springs last year. Still doing good. 60 is very bouncy during speedier cornering mind you.
Exactly.
Usually you guys opt for semi or fully? If semi <10k is fine. Won't be that clean also.
Oh yeah. Please ask for ECU update for your Vios DVVTi CVT (2017+) from 0000 to 0020. Brand new car. brows.gif

front fog light will not auto off unless u manually turn the middle switch off. vice versa. as for rear fog light, it can be swtich on and off but turining the middle one as well or it will auto off when u switch off headlight. normally best is not to use unless it rains heavily

due to jam and traffic lights..  sad.gif

that's one of the reason.
anyway, please stop comparing FC although you are having same cars.
There are many factors that makes everyone FC different.
WHat you get doesn't means he/she can get too.
Car weight, EO, road condition, traffic as well as LEG HEAVINESS and ENGINE IDLE TIME. this makes a lot on how much FC will be use for one driving the car.
my max FC is 600km on a 32 litre. and my normal daily drive FC is 400km to 420km for 32 litre. VIOS 2018 CVT
