Hey guys, anyone tried booking service maintenance through the Toyota drive app?? I’ve booked for the 1K mileage maintenance tomorrow 9.30am but not sure why it changes to 5KM and 8am. I don’t mind to go early thou. But wonder does it affect if I suppose to service for 1k mileage while booking shows 5k??

Did you made appointment on Friday night and manage to get a slot on the next day Saturday?
I thought Saturday many people?
And looks like you did not wait long for your car to be serviced on Saturday (judging by your post on Saturday morning that you had finished the service).

This type need to add water. Not MF battery. I found add water more lasting.
*
Yes, I did notice that it is not MF (from the photo).
But still very cheap ler.
Next time maybe I also want to consider this battery.
Last time I use the not famous brand (OSIMA), not MF, NS60, still cost me RM150.
That one I thought already cheap.
RM135 is it after discount?
BTW, if not mistaken, your car is about 1year right?
So fast need to change battery?

Wondering this Soft99 is a wax or polish?
Because both words "wax" and "polish" appear on the label.
Luster Wax
Cleaner and Polish
New car paint can use?
Because people said new car only wax, DO NOT polish.

Polish with scrap off paint
Wax will put protective layer

Soft99:
Blue - polish
Silver - wax

Please try wax first. Sometimes can remove the smudge. If can't then use polish. But don't press too hard, else it will remove the paint protective layer. Please do polish on small section only.

Thanks for the input.

100km/h

Refill 31L = 660km
If 36L will get me around 780km
*
Hi, want to ask as below:

1)What petrol company you use? Shell?
2)From the photo, you refill 31L when there are still about 2 bars left, right?
3)The "no petrol warning light" will light up when remaining 1 bar or 0.5 bar?

Yeah, feel like want to strangle that cat. Few times got scratch the car because surface slippery. During heavy rain, like to lepak on the roof. Leaving her fur and smudges that hard to remove.
*
Yes, recently raining, will leave smudges, very troublesome to clean up especially when you want to rush for work.
Not to mention the risk of scratches.
Wonder why they don't just rest on the dry part of the floor.

That is an engine temperature indicator. Blue means engine still cold, red means too hot. I usually drive off when the blue light gone

Yes, you can start your car immediately by pressing brake+push start.

But for me, i like to press push-start once to unfold the side mirror. Once done, i press push-start again to reset fuel injection, scanning all the sensors and other things. After few seconds, usually when airbag light is off, then only i press brake+push start. My only reason to do so, it won't drain the car battery more and to make sure each process will have full operating power.

Again, it is not for argument. Just my personal preference.
*
Hi,

Would like to confirm with you about the side mirror.
Your side mirror will unfold when push the start button?
Mine will fold/unfold when press the lock/unlock key.
Why different?
Is it because different batch?

Just now browse through Honda web page.
Seems like Honda City V comes with rear drum brake only, not disc brake.
True? or just web page typo mistake?
Also no front sensor and 360 panoramic view, I think.
If true, then Vios is better in these aspect.
How about tint? No mentioned in the web page though.

My sister's 2005 vios cannot start.
Car no response to key RC (press unlock no response).
Then, manually use key to open the door but alarm not even activated.
The immobilizer LED also not blinking anymore.
Anyone has the same experience?
Immobilizer faulty already?
Car battery just changed 3 months ago.

Possible battery kaput. Even if you already changed to new battery recently. You need to make sure the battery gets recharged frequently especially if you are using mf type battery.
*
Seems like it is the battery faulty.
My sister had asked the battery sales person to check since it is only 3 months bought the battery.
They bring back the battery to charge.
But can we just leave the car without battery?
What car setting will be lost?
For sure radio preset channel will be lost.
What else need to concern?

No much concern. My battery was removed for days while in workshop. Like u said, only the clock and other settings on the radio will be reset.
Also,.check the condition on the alternator. When was the last time it was overhauled, since it's a 2005 model.
Mine's a 2004
*
Thanks for the advice.
The alternator was never overhauled/changed.
You had changed yours?
If needed to repair/change, is it expensive?

Just wondering, for the ECU update, at which location they do the update.
Inside the car cabin or at the engine compartment?
After the update, what can we expect?
More responsive?
Thanks.

In between the dash and engine bay. Low speed acceleration will not jerk like rubber band already. Try subtle acceleration during jam preferably 5-20kmh, you'll feel the inability of the gearbox to decide what to do with its gear.

A pretty common CVT disadvantage. It will reduce it but not completely eliminate the issue.

In order to update the ECU, do they need to open the dashboard?
Yes, felt the jerk at low speed especially when the AC is ON.
But after the update, will the FC become bad?
Thanks.
