No problem with engine eating oil based on my regular, trustworthy outside workshop.

Except this one time during MCO something where I waited too long to hit 10k interval. He said my engine oil was dirty & less amount than expected.

For this latest oil changeout, did smell suffocating smoke from the exhaust. Although I won't say I actively go behind there to smell lol.

As for top gasket leaking, did a changeout many years ago. So touchwood it'll be good for a while.

So what you'll do with your piston ring situation? I hope it doesn't happen to me coz feel like not wanting to spend too much for this super old car.

Are you an owner of vios fitted with 1NZ-FE Engine?
Facing the same issue also, the engine is eating up the engine oil.
Replaced head gasket and solenoid O-Ring as it leaks. in my case, no petrol smell yet.
fyi, am owner of Vios NCP42 clocking at 210k km today.
