yeah visit them on my last trip back to pg for Ching ming.. saw the pond and yeah its cramp but still i saw one funny sight.. one aro with black back/top go hentam one silver pectoral fin.. and swim with together.. but let go after like 5 seconds later.. but no damage done.. that is what i mean as making the place cramp so fighting will be less.. as no sudden darting so if injury also very minimal..

aryan : what u mean by "sin kah" if u mean just married.. then yes , married last year in November.. and my avatar have been up for quite some time.. lazy to change.. so is that just married? or sin kah lan?

wow rtg comm tank...
how big will d tank b??
*
U can get the bigger tank if u want, & depends on ur house space....
My suggestion (even i'm not arowana expert), but i think u should get equal size & putting 3 to 4 arowanas (even the aro size is only 6 inches long) in 6ft tank at once.
smile.gif
Y i suggested that way? No need to buy bigger tank after u keep ur fish in 3ft tank or so...
& no more trouble in transferring the aro from small tank to bigger tank (once they have grow bigger).
blush.gif
Sorry, dillon...
I object ur idea, as i don't think it will save cost cause u will waste more money to buy more tanks & also will keep ur house space smaller (less) than what u have planned.
I think no one will put as many tanks as they could in a house (it's where people stay, or u're trying to open ur own LFS).

i KNow what u mean steve.. that is why a lot of ppl fail aro comm and the aro end up injured (then they sell it off)... coz they straight away jump into big tank... and YES IT DOES WASTE A LOT OF MONEY AND SPACE IN HOUSE.. but then if u wan it to be a success.. YOU HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE brother.. nothing in this world is easy.. for every single effort or price u pay extra.. the more results u will get in return..

doing a comm tank is very very different compare to a conventional way of keeping 1 aro in 1 tank.. that i 100% agree with jumping into big tank straight away to avoid money wasting.. but for comm if u do that.. trust me.. u will end up wasting even more money in the end.. waste money on aro.. and waste money on tank... if u sit down and think properly what i said u will understand..

the keypoint for aro comm tank is.. to prevent the aro from fighting and injured itself..

so no matter how u do it also u must work around the keypoint itself.. or else u are asking for more trouble.. this is what i called for unseen variable or trouble..

advice : plan ur approach properly first before u jump in.. and ask other experience comm owner.. they will verify what i have just said.. in this world nothing is easy.. the question is.. how u enjoy ur result of your hardwork?

Actually bro, 15" is quite big edi and easy to take care. It will eat everything such as roach, crix, mealworm, superworm and froggies. Plus, madstone JAR is a fish that will eat everything whatever u throw into the tank. biggrin.gif

For noob i think better start with bigger one coz it's kinda easier
bigger fish can stand longer days without food
if you forget to feed him, he might survive, easily as long as you leave few FF with him in the tank
small fish below 5,6 inches quite difficult coz like small children, quite difficult to take care i guess brows.gif
kinda cerewet la skit
