I now waiting to see does anyone has success this with Xiaomi phone or not... its a long wait.

1+1 forum did mentioned about the so call Companion chip for this interband stuff.
*
no hope for xiaomi.. all those tutorials unlocking 4G+ is all bulls**t.. only work on intraband not interband

now using galaxy a7 2017 as my modem.. it does support 4G+ with CA B3+B7

other cheap models maybe Lenovo P2 (CA tested and worked)
Other alternatives that I believe maybe can work is P9 Lite, Nova Plus, Honor 7, J5 Pro, J7 prime and Zenfone 3 Snap 625

If I'm not mistaken, Note 5 will not show "+" sign, I read it somewhere.
If like this cannot validate. laugh.gif

Really? my boss note 5 can show 4G+, but on maxis lah  hmm.gif

read somewhere it will need a Nougat update to show Digi 4G+

There's a list from wiki for all lte-a device, just need to confirm is it working or not with digi  biggrin.gif

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devic...th_LTE_Advanced
*
in Digi case, this list is not reliable especially on xiaomi's phone..

I think is  p9plus only have the CA, not the lite version, we probably can compile out a list of HP that tested workable with interband CA

later I will swap digi sim to my note 5 see can use 4g+ or not.
*
missed out this post.. someone in FB group tested 4G+ on P9 Lite and it does support according to him.. I believe this is true since it is a Huawei with cat6

Since easta90 has it, maybe he can advise further on this? laugh.gif
*
may your wishes come true.. hehehe

it is a little odd this model does not support tool box (if this is true) as it comes with Hilink chipset too as other Huawei's CPE..

Yup, it is not compatible with the Huawei tool due to a different API.
*
I see.. any possible fix for this or we can select the band using settings in its web-based?

I believe there's another tool being developed currently in some German forum.

I personally won't upgrade until the price is more affordable. My E5186 serve me really well.  biggrin.gif
*
truly agreed.. 3CA network still in vague and unmatured.. 2CA is fine enough..

2CA for digi also not work very well. I found i cannnot log into lte-a during peak hour.
*
Must be place dependent.. My place not even a LTE-A covered area but still can capture the signal n force it to lock to 4G+

QUOTE(PlayThis125 @ Aug 11 2017, 06:19 PM)
sorry for being noob here.. i got some lte-a question would like to ask.. as far as i know b3+b7 = lte-a right? what if my area got b3 and b7 but my iphone 7 never switch to lte-a.. can e5186 force the band to b3+b7 and i will be having lte-a?  sorry for my noob english. hope you guys can understand and solve my question.
*
In my case I'm using Samsung phone tethered to tp-link router.. At perfect place and angle I am able to capture both B3 and B7 to use lte-a.. E5186 is a powerful CPE and I believe it has more capability than my Samsung phone.. Just need to find the sweet spot for it

So as long as my area got b3 and b7 i can use toolbox to force it to b3+b7 is that right?
*
Yes that is possible.. Sorry I don't have E5186 so can't comment much.. But as of my experience if that place has 2 bands your equipment should be able to capture it if it is powerful enough.. And E5186 is a powerful device

Not sure, my phone and modem hardly connected to lte-a during 8pm to late night. Other than that, it can connect it easily. But i switch single band to b3 or b7, it has no problem. Just won't join them both.

yours if not mistaken is ac790s right?

OMG... I've never seen this version. Assuming you have 4x with Snapdragon, and Chinese version, you should not have Band 8. If you had Singapore version, you should have band 8 AND band 20... Now, unless you unlocked band 8 yourself, you have the weirdest model (no offense, nothing against, just shows how confused is Xiaomi with their own phones).

Anyway, IF you have Snapdragon, try this:

http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=692389

Many people said that it DOES NOT unlock bands, but turns on intraband carrier aggregation. No risk, just backup your settings. Who knows, maybe you can unlock 4g+, I will then buy Note 4x Singapore version with band 8 and 20
*
don't waste your time folks.. this tutorial does not work.. been following this thread since day 1.. as sifu chuahcs79 mentioned, worked for intra-band but fail on inter-band..

anyone able to lock band using E3372h-607 lte stick? From what I know this can be either
1. using modded Hi-Link webui
2. easier solution AT command

I wanna lock to 2600 since sometimes the modem switched to 1800, I knew because sometime during  speed test it showed 55++ mbps, some other time at 94++ mbps. area got fullbar 4g+
*
this cat4 modem can achieve such speed? shocking.gif

The main issue is the speed capping of non mobile devices as reported by many users..
*
still that restriction is applicable to all devices would it be mobile devices, pc or others in i80 case..
on i150 as far I tested on 2 devices one is PC another is android box I have no issue other than inconsistency of speed.. speed is whether a bit low or near to the tested speed..
maybe yes Digi is throttling but to certain users only..
