I just placed the order for the new version few days ago , price at RM 303. shipping RM16
I should receive this week.

I get this unit to replaced the E5186 defective unit I bought last 2 weeks

my seller now replace E5186 with this type. she told me the firmware ls the latest one.
Telco is UNICOM. any one use this before? is should be ok right?

I make mistake . its TELE2

the device logo is TELE2. but the firmware is latest Huawei firmware. the seller said can use with phone.
I have bad experience on flashing firmware. I don't think I want to do it this time

try this guy. good service. I just got one unit new exchange , and they agree to exchange one with latest firmware after I make complaint.

send the unit you are not satisfied back to them.
they provide me their China address.
after they received the unit , they will replace and send another unit (latest model) back to you.
but, you have to bear the oversea transport cost. they only bear their local transport fee. from their office to the logistic warehouse.
taobao is actually very safe to purchase. because every each of them need to build up their good reputation. they will help you exchange if you are not satisfied.

I believe E5186 device has reliability issue. just send back to the seller. there should be a 6 months warranty.

This device has quality issue.
happen to many units already. whoever use this device. it won't last long.
better get backup modem just in case it gone.

mine one happen 2 times already. already sent back to seller to claim for a new unit.
I'm not sure whether it will happen again. if it is going to happen for the 3rd time, I definitely will send to you next time.
luckily , I have another device A790 for backup.

last replacement arrive ok.
not dare to do anything just use.
couple of weeks later while switching off the device one whole night, the next morning the same problem come back again.
so, return to the seller again. she always said i'm the only one having this problem. she promise will replace another one. so, i'm still waiting for the 3rd to arrive.
now, use A790.

the 1st unit , the seller said the one she sold to me quite old the firmware (can't remember the version). that's why I have problem. she admitted was their mistake.
(I actually flash the firmware using your method, and it die there)
the 2nd unit (the one currently broke down and return), the seller said this device is the best with latest firmware. I check and confirm it's actually quite new the version.
this time , I didn't flash anything, just use. and just last week, after switching off one whole night, the next morning the device is dead. so send back again.
if the 3rd unit having similar problem again. this time I won't go back to the seller. I will donate to you for your experiment work.

taobao. cheap and risk. they willing to exchange if unit faulty.

where did you buy this smart cradle? how much improvement you can gain with this arrangement?
my understanding, AC790 signal not very good..

I will get one to try. what is the price of this cradle?
so, you need 2 power input? one for AC790 and the other one for the cradle?

525 got 3 types. B525s-23a B525s-65a or B525s-95a
which one suitable in local Malaysia?

E5186 got tons of problem don't use.

If you have time to complete reading this 200 over pages forum thread, you will find out E5186 is the only device which user gives the most faulty report.

Pay money for new device -> encounter problem -> keep flashing firmware -> sound not right...
Don't buy E5186

I'm the victim of E5186. since I subscribe to digi infinite 3 months ago, I have owned 2 units of E5186. both won't last more than 2 weeks. Flashing the firmware also won't help.
lucky I have Aircard 790 to back me up. I know, A790 is weak. I still need a powerful router . I just come to know B525, would you recommend this device?
