Guys, need some guidance here, due to changing job i be returning to Batu Pahat, Johor this middle of August. I oredi cut my cut throat streamyx and the place i'm going to stay in Batu Pahat has unreliable streamyx service and unifi is no where to be found. My plan is because the place i'm relocating has a good digi coverage, digi infinite seem the best way to go atm..

Due to cost constraints i am think of pairing a good 4G modem with my current ASUS RT-N14U. My router spec:

https://www.asus.com/Networking/RTN14U/

Any good suggestion for the modem guys? All of your help are really appreciated.. Thanx smile.gif

Which part you are moving in Batu Pahat? Because I am now in Batu Pahat and most places already have UniFi.

Router is no problem but you first have to check which modem is compatible to be plugged in the router. Because I have one Asus router and you cannot simply connect any modem to the router due to compatibility.
If you want you may find a MiFi which is much easier or router with built in 4G

Thought about MiFi but i hate of the fact its non user replaceable battery plus don't really think its wifi signal is that strong for a 2 storey house usage.. I be sharing the data with my sister and brother in law i guess.. lol

Hahaha. Already check. Seems true. Kinda weird actually. At my area Parit Raja, Batu Pahat is kinda of a village but got whole Unifi coverage in the area.
So that means you have to resort to use a router with built in 4G modem.
But you can still use the Asus router but only supports certain USB modem. You may refer to the link below. Go under the Malaysia column.

Hahaha. They are targeting students. Maybe that is why it reached there first.

So it is better to find router with built in modem. Maybe you can try to have a look at Huawei's solution. They do offer router just like Asus but have built in modem.

Already research it. Quite good. It supports all bands used by Malaysia.
For 4 major telcos: TDD-LTE B3/B7/B8 all supported.
Yes 4G also supported: FDD-LTE B38/B40.

Maybe you can ask anyone how the performance of TP Link in other forums or in here whether the WiFi performance is good enough.
I don't have enough experience in TP Link because my router at home use Asus but connect to Streamyx.
