I've been reading some threads is AVS forum, and keep hearing blu boys keep repeating that blu-ray is superior and much better quality than hd dvd. Can somebody shed some light on why it is better, besides a bigger space, even with unfinished product and more expensive? Its making me confuse........

Heard about a big (?) press conference by warner tomorrow. Wonder what that will be?
Also, a friend of mine working with pioneer malaysia in johor, said that currently one of the main product in their production line is a Sony blu ray player. I never knew pioneer and sony have this kind of collaboration.

Wah..... This thread now looks like the bd/hddvd section in AVS before it got suspended for a few days!
C'mon guys, like xeno said, dont flame2 la.
Looking at warner move, i think they are switching to the format which they think is technically superior and accepted by mass (even its only a fraction). By the time bd toppled the sd dvd (will it?), all the issues about replicating cost, standalone price, PIP, mastering should be solve.
And i dont think this will not happen for a few years time.
Anyway.......
