Hi guys, i am new here. Found this interesting thread related to my work so thought why not I share as well since most of you here are sharing genuine information.

There is a lot of uncertainty with SHELL projects as their PSC is set to expire next year, but Rosemari FID is expected to be around June/July 2020 and the first gas is expected to be in quarter 1, 2024.

Current projects SHELL has an eye for are:
Rosemari
GK2
Malikai Phase 2
E8
*
The renewal of PSC shouldn't a problem i guess. Petronas need SHELL to develop the sour gas field together..

Check with few government agencies but no one can give me the news. Appreciate if someone here can share some info. Thanks...

Heard that Mitsubishi Corporation suggests to Petronas to combine B14 sour gas to process at Shell's Rosemary & Marjoram onshore gas terminal. Shell was not happy with it. Anyone has more info? Will this further delay the SHELL Rosemary and Marjoram project?

I think Mitsubishi Corp have some minority stakes in that field, partnering together with Petronas and Shell, while Shell is the operator of the field.
*
Seems like Petronas is positive to the suggestion, but Shell not really happy to it. The call is to save cost on the B14 development. Hopefully this wont further delay the Rosemary and Marjoram project. Anyone have more information on this?

Worley is doing pre-feed for Rosmary & Marjoram.

Fabrication contract is not being decided yet, its not even in contracting strategy now.
*
Ranhill got the FEED for Rosemary and Marjoram Offshore package. Heard that they will work with Hyundai for onshore package.

Another important question would be, does MPM has sanction the FID of Rosemary & Marjoram? hmm.gif
*
Yes. Good question here. Not sure if Brooke Dockyard gonna involve or not. But the news I get is Ranhill got awarded the FEED last week for Offshore package. And the FID normally come after the FEED. So it make sense, that Shell will prepare the FEED then conclude the FID.

Of couse Shell cannot left out Brooke Dockyard when its come to offshore topside modules, Brooke Dockyard has completed many fabrication project for Shell - St Joseph, Furious, F6 etc

Brooke Dockyard CEO is an ex SSB some more hehe
*
Oh. Brooke dockyard going to be very busy starting next year. MMHE going to assign Kasawari work there too. Hyundai has been really aggressively pursuing Downstream project in Malaysia in a negative way. Hopes they dont use the same pricing tactic in Rosemari and Marjoram onshore terminal project. This gonna harm the local contractor later. They having some trouble in the Melaka Refinery Diesel Euro 5 project now. Because of tight budget issue. =)

Hyundai E&C is a bad paymaster I avoid dealing with them.
*
Hopefully the SHELL project team can hear this. And consider this in the contract award, else all the contractor may suffer and potentially project delay like Melaka Refinery Euro 5 Diesel case (Heard it was lag behind schedule 4-6 months now).

Yes and it seems like not true also someone said that the FEED been awarded.
As no one from that consultant dare to confirm

Maybe stamp can advise.

From Shell, it says Ranhill not awarded yet but in the progress. So many rumors flying around. But the target FEED award still be Oct 2019 and EPC award in June 2020. Hope this wont change..

With the current friction between GPS and Federal Govt, I wont surprise it will be delay for a long time like Kasawari.

PH Federal Govt is not friendly with GPS.

How about for the Rosmari & marjoram Onshore Gas Terminal (Onshore package)? Heard that Shell will select 3 from 10 contestant. With Saipem and JGC declined, left 8 to compete. Some say FLUOR has high chance to get it. Is it true?? How is the game play now?

For what I heard:
1. Initially SHELL says will select 3 to contest in FEED+EPC. And SHELL will select the best proposal at the end of FEED. The another 2 loser will get compensate in some small package.
2. The game has change now. Petronas says will select 1 only for FEED.

Who has a bigger say in this project? Petronas or Sarawak Government + SHELL??? Seems like Petronas MPM not really having full authority over Sarawak now. Anyone can give an insight?

anyone has idea of the total design daily production of B14 gas field? Heard that it is similar to SHELL Rosmari and Marjoram total output (which is 3.6bcf/y?) Seems like MPM wants B14 to be tie-in to Shell...
