Hi guys, I would love furthering my studies in New Zealand. Currently I am aiming for University of Auckland and the course I want to pursue is Mechanical Engineering (maybe civil too).
How's the quality of teaching in engineering and the reputation of University of Auckland? I do know the life in New Zealand is very pleasant. A nice place to live in
P.S. I heard that the place is a rugby frenzy country. Is it true?
1) What is called "football" in Malaysia is called "soccer" in NZ. To muddy the waters a bit more, "football" in NZ is what Malaysians call "rugby". But yes, this is a rugby mad nation. They're hosting the rugby world cup this year. How's the quality of teaching in engineering and the reputation of University of Auckland? I do know the life in New Zealand is very pleasant. 2) What post secondary qualifications do you have? NZ's Engineering course is decent. Its not as good as the top US universities, but it gives you the fundamentals and knowledge. Many have graduated there with no issue.
In NZ, Canterbury is better regarded for their Engineering courses than Auckland. People in the know will choose the former if they really want to pursue Engineering.
